$100 Dramanti Home Coffee Brewing Kit - 1x Aeropress; 1x Tiamo Hand Grinder; 1x 250g Coffee @ Cafe Pronto (BNE)

160

First post, here goes…

Saw this package for sale in a coffee place in Brisbane: Cafe Pronto, 160 Ann St Brisbane.

I was looking for these items individually and to also avoid postage so good to get them all in one. The aeropress and grinder all seem to work well. Yet to get to try the coffee.

I get $US66.82 for the aeropress and grinder on Amazon before delivery which is about $AU90 at the moment. I reckon with the 250g coffee this is a price and convenience bargain for those in Brisbane where this gear is not easy to find. For others you could always call and ask about delivery I guess.

    • Um… that was an insanely fast response. OK… you save about $13 pick-up for that deal on this but about the same if I had it posted to me, plus the delay. Agreed this is better for someone on the sunshine coast but otherwise compared to Amazon I still think it is a bargain for the rest (and me!).

      • Not exactly the Sunshine Coast, few hundred km out.

        • Agreed.opps.

Notwithstanding the CCC offer above, you did well OP. Enjoy your new coffee (don't be afraid to grind finer than you might think, and try the inverse Aeropress brew method!)

haha… check on the inverse method thanks to Utube. I'm going with the factory setting on the fine grinds at the moment and they are looking about salt grain size which google tells me is about right- may go finer.

A good little unit and I'm using a stack of beans from manna beans I just got last week. Ozbargain just makes life better all round!

Good deal. The porlex grinder is probably a touch better than the Ti Amo for my liking but still a solid price for instore and supporting a local business.

    • The porlex mini can fit inside the aeropress and make the whole kit compact for travelling.

      • This is a great plus for those that travel, I have that combo and it is excellent.

It's a bit rich of Cafe Pronto to claim this usually costs $150.

    Aeropress: $50
    Grinder: $40 e.g. http://www.brewhousecoffee.com.au/products/tiamo-hand-grinde…

That would mean their 250g of coffee is $60? $240 a kilo? FAARRRRRRRRRRR….KNL

Having said all of that…I used to go to Dramanti a fair bit, and have bought 2 Aeropress from there. They're a friendly bunch. Say hi to Dragan.

    • The new link to a facebook page that the moderator must have found shows a kyocera hand grinder. At the $85 they have written on the box I guess this is how they get to $150? However, I got the Tiamo for some reason. Any thoughts on the comparison? Maybe I should go ask them for the other one for my $100. Hope this isn't where I stop feeling good about my purchase!

      • You could be right…The Kyocera grinder is certainly more expensive. Has anyone (else) bought the package? Which grinder do you get?

Ninja: I see you're OP and you got the Tiamo.
