  • Great deal for Australian stock. Can you please clarify that the $200 non-nikon cashback from CameraWarehouse is CASH and not PRINT VOUCHERS? A bit confusing with the URL vs catalogue.

    • +1

It is a cheque.. so not technically cash :P but sorta is. just to be clear It IS NOT A print voucher

and the cashback is from camerahouse not camerawarehouse :P totally different stores :D

      • Sorry rep, typo. Obviously you know where I've been shopping lol. But yes, this is a great deal, now I need to brainwash the missus.

  • A couple more comparisons. Great deal!

    Ryda $1,688.85 after cashback
    (refurbished $1,398.85)

    Gerry Gibbs $1,699 after cashback

  • During JB 15% sales this was able to go under 1.5K Can you do something like that? I think iys was about $1450.

    • sorry mate, the price here is the price.
You could try negotiating with individual camerahouse stores to see if they can do it for you.
Camerahouse is a buying group- so each store is owned by different owners.

      • Hi auslagger, I'm just wondering if NIKON D750 is in stock yet?

        • Still on back order..

We had some D7200's trickle in at the end of last week but Nikon Australia just can't keep up with the demand.

System shows 70 on back order. My general manager has no idea when it will be coming in. Nikon's been telling us next week, last week, and the same the week before that.

        • @auslagger: Hi Auslagger. Here is another version I got from your store.

          Date: 8 July 2015

Thank you for you patience and understanding.

The supplier is expecting this stock in early next week so we should have it towards the end of the week/early the week after.

I guess I will have to cancel the order coz I probably won't get it before the end of next week.

        • @icu29:

Its the same version. We can only go on whatever Nikon is telling our warehouse, and whatever our warehouse is then passing onto our stores.

If you would like a refund, please contact the store you purchased it from and i'm sure they'd be happy to work out a refund for you. I would personally do so for any customers who bought it from us at Broadway and did not wish to wait (YMMV at other stores). But at $1999 when other shops are $2200+ if it were me i'd say it would be worth the wait?

        • @auslagger: It's a really great deal. Just need it urgently that's all. sigh I really wish I could wait.

    • Why don't you ask your friends at CameraPro to do better than their $1,698 after cashback?

      • +1

[edit] maybe i shouldnt be releasing information like that. not sure if thats the type of information i should be releasing :D [edit]
but it wouldn't surprise me if they could and just havent updated their website

        • No-one saw :) (I was surprised though.)

Everyone's prices will probably change throughout the day trying to outdo each other.

      • You mean like you, neg everyone who say bad thing about Digidirect?

2 mins into my posting history and you can see that I had pick on CameraPro too.

I have no problems against any shop as long as they are honest and upfront. I do have a BIG problem with shops:

        1) Jack price up and then give SO CALL "DISCOUNT"
        2) Do not pass on full price reduction/rebate from distributor to customer.

These days your FRIENDS are big offender of these two. May be they are too close to Georges and getting all their bad habits.

    • You can go into JB and haggle with them. You could prob get it for the sale price even when its not on sale. Did that with my D750 similar price to the 15% sale with out much effort.

and if you go overseas you get the GST back on the original price you paid. win win

    • didnt think of that…

More worth it with a cashback.. than with just a price drop :P

      ie price drop $1599 = $145 gst
      cashback = $172 GST

      • I don't think you understand.

When you go to get your GST its based on what you "paid" which is the GST from $1899 price tag as per the receipt…. and you also get the cashbacks (post sale)

        • yep that's what i meant.

so if say another shop gave u the price 1599, ur gst at the airport would be $145
vs if u paid 1899 and got the gst back at the airport you would get $172 as opposed to the $145 as the invoice price is higher :D

we are on the same page :D

        • The GST component of the $1,899 is $172.67

edit: whoops, shoulda refreshed before posting.

        • @auslagger:

You get the gST and BOTH THE CASHBACK

        • +1

          @frysie

          Thats the point im making

If you get someone to price match… you get less GST even though you pay the same price

Therefore its more beneficial to pay the higher price andget the cashback because as you say "You get the gST and BOTH THE CASHBACK"

like i said "we are on the same page :D"

Not a whinge, just a remark from looking at the catalogue backpage: Ted's got nice prices on the Aculons.

    Nikon Aculon A211 12X50
    Camera House: $199
    Ted's: $149.95
    Ryda: $128.85

    Nikon Aculon A211 10-22x50
    Camera House: $299
    Ted's: $224.95

(My local Camera House have always been good for a price-match.)
