      No.

    • Targeted would be for staff only, no friends/family

      • -6

Not everyone knows someone who works at Big W so I would say it is targeted.

        • Did you read our Big W friend's deal up at the top?

  • -1

can you buy one BBQ for me?? ha ha…I would love to see similar deal in Adelaide

I want the hammock and stand so much, dammit all I've ever wanted in life is a $20 hammock and stand but no, the universe cannot get on board with me and my $20 hammock and stand, on Saturday I'll be working instead of getting a $20 hammock and stand.

    • What's the likely weight rating of that thing? Enough for 1.5–2 people?

    • +2

May I update I have recruited my marvellous sister; who also wants a $20 hammock and stand, to obtain them. May the odds be ever in her favour.

Good excuse to go on a road trip from Melbourne!

    • Hey the canoe out and start rowing in this weather!

      • +4

Canoes: adding another problem to the already-congested roads of Melbourne.

Bicycles, motorbikes, motorised bicycles, cars, trucks, trams, prams, rickshaws, horse-and-carriage, people…

  • i cant seem to find the specs for the line trimmer? Ozbargain help please?

    • +1

Use the search term "strimmer", instead of line trimmer; seems to be a UK model.

      • battery operated - ugh.

        • need some education here, please explain

        • @whiteflame:

          Batteries don`t last… I prefer something with a cord. :)

      • I don't know why I find this so funny. Strimmer… haaaa!

  • +1

Seems to be a nice car for $40 you can buy and load up all your BARGAINS in and drive home! Yes probably worth the airfare!

    • +1

Why drive when you could buy a house there for $30?

  • +3

Since I seem to be in the dog house quite a bit lately, it would be nice to have a deluxe model for $30. Alas, I bend bananas.

  • Worth a try.

  • +3

Does the OP or any other Rep have a complete detailed list they can leak? :D

People from outside Sydney need to know whether its worth the trip…

  • Thanks for this and for the good advance notice. I know where I'll be on Sat morning. Hope it's worth the freezing cold morning and that it's not just one or two of each item. See you there.

    • Not if I see you there first…

I was 10th person to get in at 8am and I can tell you there were at least 100 of pieces for each big item including motorised yellow cars.

When I got out to get my car, the queue had at least 400 people and car park was already full by 10am.

        • I'm just curious, when did you arrive the scene?

        • @O O:
I arrived at 740 and was about the 30th person in the queue.

          @defined:
Should we call this an OzBargain phenomenon! If a deal is published at OzBargain, it will attract a lot of ~clicks to the site~ people drive all the way to the site.

        • @O O: I arrived 7:35am.

        • @O O:
Or if it's an online sale, it'll cause their servers to crash :P

I can't believe you would go around taking photos of people and posting on here, that is creepy. not surprised you have pedo bear as your icon

      • +1

You must be one of the hoarders. Shame!!

  • +2

Arrived at 8.10am and got in at about 9:45am or so. The next time there's something like this, the wife and I plan to arrive an hour early to beat the queue.

I know you're entitled to buy as much as you want/can afford but I saw some people with 8-10 of some of the more popular items which I thought was selfish. Personally I wouldn't do that but to each their own.

    • What is your definition of popular items?

      • The ones that most people I saw had at least one of (well the ones that got there earlier). Specifically the hammock and the BBQ. Think we got the last hammock and lots of people asked about it.

        • I think it depends upon preference. I did not buy even one hammock :)

I was more interested in toys for my kids.
