In The Last Of Us PS4 A pandemic has radically changed known civilisation. Twenty years later, infected humans run wild and survivors are killing each other for food, weapons, or whatever they can get their hands on. Joel, a ruthless survivor, is hired to smuggle a 14 year-old girl, Ellie, out of an oppressive military quarantine zone, but what starts as a simple job soon transforms into a profound journey across the U.S.

$9.99 USD is with the 5% discount.

Facebook Like needed for 5% discount.

Or $10.49 USD without the Like.

You can have several accounts on your PS4 so in this case you'd just need to make an account with the country set to US and buy it using that account. Each account can have one console set as the 'primary' PS4 (can change whenever you like) on which other users can play your games as if they owned it. It's meant to be for sharing between family etc but obviously as long as you set your PS4 as the primary one for your US account, you can also play the game with an Aus or any other account logged in on that PS4.

Thank you to Superzipp for this information.

May be a dumb question but would I need a US PSN account? Don't have a ps4 yet but thinking of buying this now to download later.

    • +2

From what I've gathered; you buy this with a US PSN account and just switch over to your Australian PSN account and just hit Play (on the same console). Please correct me if I'm wrong!

      • Thanks man, added it to the OP with credit :)

Wish Sony would remove digital regions like MS. I believe you do need to have a US PSN to input this code than download the game than play on your own account. Says it on cd keys too, the first line.

    • +2

I believe they do it so that they can have region-specific sales etc. and it makes pricing easier if it's separate rather than just relying on fx rates of the day or something like that. That being said, of course they really only tend to the US and EU stores so maybe it is in our best interests to be using a global store instead so we'd get all their perks.

      • Microsoft also has region specific pricing and deals, so I don't think that's really an issue.

I do like MSs way of handling Xbox sales, where you can swap store and as long as you have a billing method attached to that region, you can make the purchase. That way everything is against a single account and log in. I guess Sony only checks the high level account region, where MS bases purchases off available billing methods.

  • Is this game really so good?

Over 200 Game of the Year awards

I'd hope so. I played through both the PS3 and PS4 version. Just as good as the first playthrough.

First time is great, second time i could not get into it. So i sold it. For $2 more than i bought it for.

      • +1

I bought it for PS3, then again for PS4, then I bought a digital copy for ease of use. It is phenomenal.

        • Played for about two hours and just didnt seem the same tense, suspensful game. First time round was probabiy the most stand out game ive played!

        • @pointless comment: second time around has been DLC and multiplayer for me tbh.

    • +1

I'm not a gamer at all, but my fiance bought me a ps3 and this game a while back and yes… it really is that good.
I can only imagine how good it is on ps4

    • This is definitely no doubt one of the best games. The problem is that after I played it, I lost interests in this kind of games because I can't find anything that can meet my expectation. It sets the bar too high for other games. That's how great it is.

    • I would go as far as saying it's the best game ever made. People react realistically when you point a gun or fire at them, they don't shoot straight away when you have a human shield, they look for you, they run away from you, they try to flank you, and they clutch their wounds. That's not even saying anything about the fantastic story, the graphics, the feel of the weapons and survival aspect.

The only real con I have to say about this game is that Sony tried to cash in by immediately remaking it so soon after its release, which also showed that they were skeptical about the selling power of their lineup of PS4 titles (This impact was lessened, when Sony then proceeded to remake every single game ever made for the PS4). It's a linear game that's over 24 hours long, like, jesus man, that's incredible. Buy it. Buy it twice.

Anyone who has anything bad to say about this game didn't push past the slow paced sections about 4 - 7 hours in.

  • How to get it for PS3?

  • Wow..Just tried to order this and got the below..

Thank you for ordering with cdkeys.com!

Your order has been put on temporary hold by our verification system. You are requested to respond to this ticket or email us directly on [email protected] with a photograph (taken with a smartphone or digital camera) of a valid ID such as a Driving License, Passport or National ID card together with today's date/time and ‘cdkeys.com’ written on a piece of paper.

Please be assured that it is standard procedure for certain orders to be checked in this manner and is for the security of all parties involved. Sensitive information such as the ID/Passport Number, Expiry Date and Date of Birth can be redacted/blocked out. We only require sufficient information to identify you as the account holder.

Apologies in advance for any inconvenience this process may have caused. All correspondence will be dealt with as a priority by our 24 hour support team.

    • Since you can block out pretty much all identifying information, I guess it seems at least slightly legit.

Your order must have triggered some sort of red flag on their system for whatever reason.

Having said all that, I'd opt for the refund and try purchase again or move on.

      • Still seems semi dodgy too me.. Yep got a refund already..

        • Still seems semi dodgy too me

It's because all their orders are processed automatically. My first order got held but have made 20+ successful orders since. The reason sites like mine (Esio Entertainment) doesn't have these security measures is because I manually process orders and make sure the account information matches the financial information.

Reorder the game, you wont be disappointed once you get past the CDKeys.com security. And a majority of the time you only need to provide this information once.

    grabbed a copy..
will sell my disk copy for a small profit, and also have the benefit of not putting in the disk!

(just watch this be free on PS+ now I have bought this)

    • will sell my disk copy for a small profit

Didn't think about that. I called EB after reading it and got quoted $11.50 cash with Level 3 EB World. Best off selling on Ebay or something.

  • Exclusives suck.

$400 PS4 + $10 is still too much for even this game :(

    • +1

You know you could just play it on PS3 right? I bought a PS3 from Cashies just last week for $50 :)

      • -2

EB is having a big sale, I've seen the pre-owned PS3 version for as cheap as $36.

Calling this a PS4 exclusive is laughable. It's like saying that Resident Evil 1 is a next gen exclusive.

        • +2

PlayStation exclusive. Same as Mario is Nintendo exclusive.

        • -2

@Where's_That_Cake: Except it's not an identical Mario game that they remake a year later and slap a full price on it.

        • @FrankMcFuzz: lol, it wasn't full price. It was $60 on release and even cheaper at some stores. I think I paid $48 at DSE, the digital copies have been floating around the $20 mark for a long time. Also this was with the DLC. It's not much different than Nintendo releasing 3D Land and then 3D world on WiiU, just a retard in dungarees jumping on mushrooms.

        • +1

@Where's_That_Cake: 3D Land and 3D World are entirely different games. First of all, the Wii-U one is multiplayer, has new powerups, entirely different levels, 20 hours more if you go for completionist (Which you should, the final secret level is awesome). It's hardly the same game with 'updated' graphics; it's a full blown sequel, but all other companies have forgotten what that's supposed to mean.

I was actually amazed by Super Mario 3D World, because every single level in the entire game introduced a new concept that hadn't been in any previous Mario games, let alone previous levels in the same game.

And The Last Of Us on PS4 did what? Included a $15 DLC whose only defining feature is a lesbian scene?…. That's great…. Next gen, eh?

RIP Satoru Iwata. At least you won't be subjected to the rest of 'next generation's' painful attempt at exclusives.

        • @FrankMcFuzz: Oh c'mon the whole dungaree wearing handle bar moustached 'brothers' aren't full on camp are they? Could be worse, at least we don't see them carrying their tool bag around I guess.

That's the kind of ignorance you spout regarding anything other than your beloved PC/WiiU mate. You ignorantly fail to mention that TLoU Left Behind is regarded as an excellent addition to the game. That it averaged 88/100 after 69 reviews on Metacritic. That it delved into the backstory of the game and gave you much insight into some of the character's past. It's 1080p and 60fps, smoother and less clunky than PS3 version. Has a new difficulty level and even a directors commentary available for those looking for another run through.

If TLoU was a Nintendo game you'd be ballcock deep into it's S-bend like you are with the plumber.

        • -1

Come at me bro. Do you even lift? Mario isn't the only Nintendo IP. Wish I could say the same for Sony and Naughty Dog.

        • @FrankMcFuzz: "Only defining feature a lesbian scene?"

          You obviously didn't play it.

Mate I'd take PS exclusives over Nintendo anyday. If it weren't for my 6 & 8 yo's and Monster Hunter I wouldn't waste my money on the kiddy Nintendo IP's

        • @Where's_That_Cake: No, I didn't play it. I don't play stapled on DLC's released soon after the base product which are so obviously trying to cash in on the success of something fantastic, no matter how good they are, because they should've been in the base game or the devs should use their money and talent they gained from working on the game to create something new. The same reason I'm not going to buy the DLC's for The Witcher despite that game being fantastic.

The Last of Us may be the best game ever, but $15 for a 3 hour add-on is a scam.

Kiddy games? Yes…… Kiddy games like Bayonetta. Don't forget ZombiU, you know. For the children! (ZombiU sucks.) Oh but I can play an adult game like Alien Isolation and Shadow of Mordor on my PS4 which are as easy as "Elmo Learns to Spell", but I can play a kiddy game like Donkey Kong Country which is actually difficult.

Such a hard choice. (Shadow of Mordor and Alien Isolation are both great. They're just adult games that are easy.)

  • Neato.
