Shipping is $20 to Sydney. Really.. Amazon's shipping to Oz is cheaper :)

    • Shipping cost updated.

  • Can't see refurb Sennheisers for sale anywhere, hard to compare pricing…

    • You can buy refurbished ones direct from Sennheiser in Germany. They have a full warranty, but are much more expensive than these ones, not even counting the shipping costs.

  • +6

Anything from Grays Online is an overpriced trap.

  • +1

    $20 shipping is a killer

  • +3

    I heard it's a good deal.

    It's not.

  • If you don't mind reconditioned these prices are actually quite good or am I missing out on something?

    • +4

the problem is there's no specifics on the condition of the recondition. I'd love to know:

      • Is there cosmetic damage?
      • Have the ear cups been replaced? (tis a hygiene issue imo)
      • All accessories included?
    • It's entirely up to luck. Sometimes you might get a mint one as good as brand new, other times you might get one with signs of wear on it that's used/soiled.

    • At least for Momentum On-Ear Headphones, it's really not that great (DSE had them for $75 with their $25 off code last week, if you don't count that, they came down to $100 fairly frequently after the new model's release).

    ewwww refurbed headphones.

    • Hopefully they've been thoroughly cleaned!

      • Just to clarify, all the refurbishment is done in line with the hygienic guidelines, so pads are replaced on all headphones.
The reason why you can't find in-ear refurbished headphones are due to the same reason.

  • I was gonna say, the earcups/headbands defintely would need to be replaced, otherwise ewwwww….. :(

  • Take your spam and jump buddy, there is no deal or bargain here.

  • +1

Quoting RRP on Ozbargain (for refurb too) seems pretty irrelevant. Also given the frequency of headsets breaking (at least in my experience) I don't think i could bring myself to buy a refurb.

Hmmmm found cheaper on DS special days/sales and heck even catch of the day have had some cheap from time to time.

In saying that, for work a few years ago I did buy from Grays a pair of $89 RS 110's set referb and they have been good. Though they didn't come with the power brick - and trying to explain to the closed person that even though they were wireless that the base 'still' needed the power brick (and it was listed with it). Finally sanity prevailed and I got $10 back.

Still. No major special here. Grays….you aren't what you use to be….few year ago awesome specials.

    • "Grays….you aren't what you use to be….few year ago awesome specials."

AMEN! And the increasing buyers premium doesn't help either!

  • the buyers premium is suck, then getting worse when you check the delivery fees. better to look at ebay listing.
for those who want to bid at grays online just make sure you browse other website as well to compare the price (I found it cheaper at ebay sometimes)

    HD25-11 are amazing.

Warning people. Bought over 10 headphones 2 years back from these sales, 3 pairs had faulty leads, channels crackly dropping out or totally dead. Grays refused to take them back told me to refer to Sennheiser importer. They were not refurbished, just bagged and resold, well they were when I bought them. Grays are no longer cheap with 17% BP either. I even sent many emails how Grays were responsible for faulty goods but fell on managers that should have been fried. Company has changed hands so no current experence on returns.

  • +2

"but fell on managers that should have been fried."

Or at least, lightly battered and breadcrumbed.
I understand why you pan them, and get steamed up about it but we shouldn't stew over it.

  • Really? Refurbed headphones? Dynamic drivers? Nope nope nope. Burn in is a concern here. Never buy dynamic drivers refurbed/preowned. Not to mention the reports of questionable quality. Have to neg this. This post is about as undesirable as a 90% off sale on used undies.

  • Hygenic my bum. If the hphones look good in the bag they go. They probably don't even spray them with Glen20.

Do you hear that rep? I bet you taste that. I feel like running an argument in the forums along the lines of 'if GraysOnline posts don't provide a comparison to other refinished prices and demonstrate they are offering an OzBargain, the post should be removed as it is spam and only restored of Grays offer the products for sale without a buyer's premium'.
