    Yeah - nice price. If you are simply playing records or digitising your vinyl, this will do fine.

    However, if your thinking of buying two and becoming the next Calvin Harris so you can score with Taytay, be aware these turntables are belt-driven. Whilst they'll be fine to play around with, you should be looking out for something that has direct-drive instead.

    So with this, do we need to manually add track marks and things like that?
    Or is it simply connect to PC, start recording, play the record, then leave the room?

      Check out "Audacity". The silence finder function works extremely well for marking out tracks, and you can save out from flac/wav to more cloth-eared formats…

      Maybe I got the last one, but I had to pay delivery for it, it's quite possible their stock levels were incorrect too and a number of these orders will be cancelled.

        I'd imagine once people put them in their cart it reserves it somewhat. Once a timeout is reached it returns them to stock. At least that's what usually happens when people can snag them after an item is sold out

    Noob question here but can I plug speakers into this and just listen to my records or does it have to go via a computer? Got an order in but will have to try and cancel if it needs a computer.

    If you have records, chances are you have a record player. Plug it into the linein on your computer and start recording in audacity. Don't have asoundcard? You can pick up a usb soundcard for a few bucks on ebay. Probably all this is.

      I have records, but no record player - so was hoping this would be a good option for me as i have a small hifi with decent speakers. If i can wire the speakers direct into the record player even better! (i never really use the hifi)

    Can anyone here recommend a cheap, preferably "automatic" turntable for connection to an amp/home theater system?
    By "automatic" I mean, one that returns the arm once it gets to the end of the record (don't think this one did) and as long as it connects with RCA's that's fine with me.

    Mine arrived yesterday (but re-delivered today). The motor drive belt is missing - have sent Crossfader an enquiry.

      Mine arrived today, came with the belt, it was already on the installed on the underside of the plate - almost thought it wasn't in the box. Is yours on there?
      Set up took 5 minutes for a noob like me and had it running through my mini stereo. Blown away, it's my first record player so don't really know what to expect but it works really well and set up was a breeze. Didn't want to mess around with amps etc so this was a great all in one package.

        Yeah I read the manual first, and it's not on the underside. So I guess I just got unlucky and it's missing. I assume they'll send me one, if not I can buy it off ebay for $15 and ask for a partial refund from Crossfader (or a paypal dispute if non-cooperative! ^_^)

    Got mine on Friday. Like you guys, I thought a few of the things were missing. A lot of the stuff is pretty well hidden in the sides of the foam.
