Combine with this deal and get 13kg of Nutella for $84: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/202609
Now that's a family sized deal!

Or get another 5% off using Woolwworths gift card form Cash Rewards: http://www.cashrewards.com.au/woolworths-gift-cards.

    • Constipation for weeks, sounds like good fun!

      • +20

        constipation for weeks

Lol it goes with your username

    • Instead of using gift cards, one can use their MEbank card for 5% rebate. Might need some careful calculations but I'm sure not a big problem for an Ozbargainer… :)

  • Is it possible to price match PS4 for $419 from Target tomorrow and use this ?

    • +1

Is PS4 considered home entertainment that this excludes?

      • Gaming is home entertainment. From the bottom of email: Offer excludes purchase of Home Entertainment products (incl. Apple, Gaming, DVDs and Audio), tobacco & cigarettes cartons and packets, DVD Kiosk purchases, all online purchases including BIG W Photo and BIG W Movie, all Gift Cards, all Wish Gift Cards and all Woolworths Limited Gift Cards including BIG W, Woolworths, Safeway, Woolworths Petrol, Safeway Petrol, Dan Murphy's, BWS, Cellar Masters, Essentials, Masters Gift Cards.

  • I just received the same email so this deals looks good for 1 use per each EDW card!

Good for the deal on Huggies nappies. Will work out to $20 per jumbo box when purchase 4 boxes.
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/202684

    • Grabbed 4 boxes for $80 :) Winning!

      • Did your discount come off the total or did they give you a gift card?

  • Do you get the $20 gift card in the mail or do you get it for free in the same transaction as the $100 purchase?

    • It's on the spot, a physical card, loaded with $20 after transaction is completed.

Thanks SO much for this deal. Combined this with nappies. Cheapest deal ever known!

      • Did you receive the email? wonder if it targeted or not

        • +1

Nope. Just tried my luck. ZERO issues.
I went to the staffed checkout with 4 boxes of nappies ($100), showed my EDR card, showed my phone (with OP's EDR barcode)… which she'd already noted "yep, you've got the barcode for the $20 gift card?" Explained that we'd complete the purchase, then she'd load-up a card with $20 for me. Had a mini docket related to it.

        • @Utopian:
          Thanks

    • +1

I had mine taken off the purchase price - win!

  • How soon do u get the gift card?

  • +11

When will the gift card expire?
What colour will the gift card be?

    • Yep, really worried it will only be valid for 12 months not 24

      • +1

Right need time to contemplate the $20…

        • +1

Really worried it will be purple.

      • +3

I'm more worried about the colour TBH

    • Can i get one with a pretty picture on it? Please. Lol

    • Please see my post/photo above. It's a generic 12mth exp card. Which is PLENTY of time, considering all the places its accepted.

Otherwise, turn the handwritten issue year from 15 into 16 ;)

This offer may be targeted based on EDR card.

    • I agree with this, I did not receive this offer and I am a EDR member too. I'm guessing a few members gonna turn up to BigW to spend $100+ to find they are not eligible.

Also while I'm typing, whoever designed the EDR website needs to learn how to build an efficient website, takes at least 5 clicks from original email to activate an offer (after opening 3 tabs to login.. WTF??)

  • +2

I only received the email for one of my cards so it may be targeted.

Saying that I just compared the barcode in the op to the one on my email and they are the same.

    • The barcode in my email is also the same as provided by the OP.

      • Barcode is the same but it doesnt get applied to your transaction unless the barcode is linked to your EDR card

    EDR not EDW

      EDW - Everyday W@nkers?

    • EveryDay Wewin… ozbargain stuff.. cheap stuff.. Lol

Damn, No home entertainment is a killer for me

  • Too bad they don't stock enough transformer toys

  • +1

Does anyone know if a phone recharge voucher falls within the definition of a 'gift card'? Assuming not, but who knows with these things.

    • I guess it depends if Big W classify them as a gift card, I would be interested in find out as well!

    • It doesn't fall within gift card but within home entertainment. :(

  • hmm what to buy for 100, what do I need…

  • I have ideas. With your $100 that is. Lol Just saying. Not much to choose from trust me.

  • At the link bottom shows OP's EDR card number is 9344********7, OP you better delete that part or what.

    • +2

what are people going to do with it? use his number at woolworths online?

      • Use it as some sort of combination for this Saturday nights lotto

      • Allows Woolworths to identify them.

  • Use with the 2 for $50 huggies offer to get 4 boxes at $20 each

  • Yeah, got this too. I'm not sure what to buy though…

  • Got it for only one of my EDR, it seems to be targeted.

  • Any one know if these work with Third Part Gift Cards from Big W? Usually, these are counted as purchases for reward points.

  • Where is the barcode in the attached image?

    • deal updated :)

  • Hey do I have to print out the barcode? Or will it be OK to scan the picture of the barcode from my phone at the checkout?

  • The process to redeem the card at a self service checkout was annoying. I scanned my rewards card and voucher and was told to wait. Staff member had to type in the voucher code (twice), then issue a refund for $20 and apply it to the gift card. Whole process took about a minute.

Why can't BigW just apply a $20 credit to the purchase price? It would be so much faster, more efficient, and use less staff time.

  • Doesn't work with Telstra recharge :(

  • They do discount directly to the total bill. Guess it is up to each store's policy and the staff who serve you.
