      HD Video Converter Factory Pro cannot rip/backup copy-protected DVDs.
      WonderFox DVD Video Converter doesn't support video compression.

        Why have you differentiated just on ONE feature.

        Why not have one program that does both ???

          1. Different groups have different needs. For DVD collectors, they tend to DVD ripping software. A 7.5G DVD movie can be ripped to about 1.2G. It may damage image quality if compress too much.

          2. HD Video Converter Factory Pro is for those who go for HD videos with AVCHD camcorder, less popular format or larger video files, etc.

          3. The compatibility of different features. We're always improving it all the time.

    WonderFox DVD Video Converter V8.6 for Free

    I downloaded the file, and when you install, it says v8.5, not 8.6. So it's an old version

    the website says

    The latest version v8.7 of Video Converter Factory Pro has been released on Jan 16, 2015.

    So the one offered here is two versions old
