Do you need to buy another starter kit or something to attached to your phone first to go with this?

    • No, comes with metal plates.
That being said, the eBay ones are probably pretty good (I have this +Trip model).
      Very small in real life.

  • Picked up a cheapy for ebay for $4. Works a treat.

    • i found alot just $1.20, which one is yours?

      • I've been looking on eBay and only finding magnetic versions. This appears to use grip only which I would prefer.

        • sorry im confuse this logitech is using magnetic but you need to stick something on the back of your phone.
on ebay mostly are gripping style, cheapo

          edit:
ah got you. $4 on ebay very similar like this logitech with magnet
          if only grips $1.20+

        • @erwinsie:
Yeah reading this suggests Logitch +Trip is also a magnet and it comes with a metal piece to stick on your phone or case. Might go with eBay first to check if it works well in my car with regards to angles.

        • @cymon:

Might buy 2 of those cheaps just to make sure they can hold a big phone over bump roads lol.

  • Thanks OP.

  • do not buy it if you not using case or cover on your phone

    • Why, I dont, and the square magnet doesn't bother me..

  • It comes with 2 metal plates that u can stick to your phone case if that helps

  • Says "Temporarily out of stock" for me

  • How well do these sit on the air vent¿ I have a grip type ones and when ever I made a turn, it would fly off. Though it could be due to the deep plates(?) On the honda civic.

    • The tight rubber handles should make it slip onto the ventilation grills firmly.

    Temporarily out of stock

  • Sportsbet have odds of 3:1 that these will be "back in stock" once the discounts are removed.

    • Yeah I guess they had just removed it after my post.

  • Had 3 in stock at my local store. Classic DSE.

  • i tried this on my note 4
i use a thin case so i placed the magnet behind the case. i kept the magnet in place using a tiny bit of blue tac.
the magnet holds the note 4 up and it doesn't fall, but don't think about using the phone.
as soon as i touch the screen of the phone it falls off.
i ended up using the phone holder that is held in place using the cd slot of the car stereo.
so far this method has worked heaps better.
i would not recommend this item

    my 2c
