TrendMicro Mobile Security for Android 12M + 8GB MicroSD $0 (after $20 Cashback) @ Harvey Norman

370

Same as this deal which expired when prices went up.

Good as a filler to piggy back other Harvey Norman deals to get $25 off $150 with the newsletter deal.

Add 3~4 items using Google Chrome by adding one and refreshing the page to create a second stack.
Multiple licenses can be stacked on the same account for several years of protection.

Trend Micro cashback turnaround is pretty quick with 3 activated at 30/6 which was credited on the 8/7. Cashback expires on 30/9.
I'm still waiting on the $25 Office 365 cashback though from this deal (expired).

Picture shows an 8GB Transcend Class 4 microSDHC card but got an 8GB Kingston Class 4 microSDHC instead. Also comes with microSD to SD adapter.

Some current deals to use with.
$4 8GB SD/microSD/USB

  • I'm running out of devices for all of these SD cards…

Do Android devices really need antivirus?.

If you're sideloading APKs from other sites besides Google Play (especially pirated apps) then yes you probably should. These apps usually have anti-theft features in them too, but Cerberus is the best app for that.

  • same, not yet received cashback from Microsoft while got from Trend super fast

I got my cashback ages ago. Are you sure yours qualified for the cashback?

      • of course i qualified for the cashback from microsoft, activated on both tabs and submitted the screenshot from my accounts and the waiting continues…

        • Did you read all the fine prints? And did you make separate claims for each item even if on the same receipt? Did you buy from an authorized retailer?

        • Just wait, many of mine came just 1 or 2 days before the end of the waiting period…

        • @lostn:
yup, as per the fine print, i submitted two seperate claims with same receipt. bought from HN Auburn, ain't that an authorized retailer?

  • We're still waiting for the office cashback too. The trend cashback came in very speedily.

  • So how to claim cashback?

    +1 for that description.

  • OP, does the second stack still remain after you sign in? As soon as I sign into my account it makes the first stack 4?

    • Reduce the first stack to 2 and add from the product page again.

      • Doing that still increases the first stack to 4. The stacking seems to work for me till I sign in.

        • Clear the cart and try again while the account is logged in.

        • @silent1: Thanks OP, had to try a couple of different things, in the end don't know what worked but it did work.

I also took advantage of this witb the 8" tablet deal from the othet week.

I received all 3 cashbacks within a week from. submitting them. All on the same Android phone.
Had to uninstall the app between activations and I deleted the app as soon as I finished submitting the cashbacks.

Guess you could buy enough to take advantage of the welcome email (if that's still a thing) and make a profit along with the free cards.

    • So there were no issues with claiming multiple cashbacks right?

      • doesn't seem like it from the previous thread

      • Nope no issues at all. Used the same phone, email and bank account, submitted all within the hour.

I applied all codes consecutively to the same mobile, it simply extended the subscription period. Also tried to file all under a single claim (in the notes section), received a friendly email asking that I file separate claims. Cashbacks received in a few days. edit: I bought 4 with no dramas, bringing the unisurf 7" tab to $17.

        • I bought 4 with no dramas, bringing the unisurf 7" tab to $17.

          Huh? How?

        • @samlor:
          I believe the 7" Unisurf was $67 so with $25 MS cashback + $25 HN coupon it's $17.

On the other hand the 8" was $97 so $47 after cashback.

The 8" is better anyway with larger screen and higher resolution (1024x720 vs 1200x800) and IPS instead of TN(?).

        • @silent1:

Yeah was. Price now appears to be $126! And, MS Office 365 $25 cash back is also over.

        • did you get any email confirmation for each claim? i haven't gotten any but i can check my claims using the ticket numbers. security isn't that great - all you need is the email and ticket number and you can change the account the cashback goes through.

        • @silent1:
Correct. Yeah the screen is a dreadful 1024 x 600, upscaled to 1280 x 800 to run win 8 apps I'm told. No Unisurf makes my short-list for a decent tablet, I found a $17 windows machine and the relative saving most attractive. You could chalk it up to bargain spirit, but I believe in behaving professionally when dealing with Mr. Harvey. It was post somewhere, but this works a treat in remedying the lone usb port. In the tradition of turn-it-to-11 I can confirm simultaneous access to 3 HDD's when powered no problem, hdmi port makes for a media server just over $20. I received an email confirming the claim ticket had been opened, if you have the ticket number I'd say your set.

seems like the stacking limit is 4 though.. so can't make the purchase over $150 and take adv of the $25.

Be warned: This software is very heavy.

Staff were quite suspicious of the price I paid. Rescanning and checking the codes a few times.

  • Warning!! … warning!! … Be aware!!!

After purchasing this product (which indicates iPhone & iPad compatible), I followed the instructions to install the app, register and then activate the code.

You will be UNABLE to activate your product code using the app on an iOS device.

I had to contact the Australian Trend Micro customer support person - then I was transferred to the international tech support in the Phillipines - he assisted me to activate the code via their web site.

Eventually I did get activated - but there is no way you can activate the app on an iOS device because the Apple app wants you to pay for it as an "in-app purchase".

  • Activated 4 x 1 yr subscriptions on one mobile device. Received confirmation within 48 hours that my claims have been successful and I will be receiving cash back shortly.

    Question

    a) has anyone stacked more than 4 years on one device? (if so how many?)

    b) is there a limit on how claims an individual can make? In otherwords has someone made like 10+ claims to date and received 10 x cashbacks?

lol thinking of ordering another 4 just to try…

  • is this deal still on? Can I go to HN now & still get it?

    • still available online…

    WARNING:

Make sure you activate each license before you put in the claim. My claim was rejected since I didn't activate. Once rejected you can't do anything, so there goes the money!!!

    • You didn't try activating and re-claiming?

      • You cannot put another claim for same serial no:

They sent a mail to activate within 5 days, but couldn't do. So they went ahead and rejected the claim. Just be careful.

This is the business strategy of cashback, people who successfully claim are very less!
