        I've never had a taxi deliver an ice-cream to me. I prefer them to just drive me to where I want.

          I doubt they'd risk having their cab off the road by not having it roadworthy.
          Unlike Uber, the taxis get scrutinised all the time, especially in the CBD taxi ranks…

      Ignoring that this is most likely going to be like last time and very few people will be getting ice cream, Messina is worlds better than Ben and Jerry's.

      Maybe not when B&J is free definately not when B&J is free, but if there was a service that ran all the time that would deliver me tubs of Gelato Messina I would gladly pay 15 bucks for it.

      If you go to the blog post on Gelato Messina's website they say:

      Existing Uber users can enjoy a 470ml tub of ‘uberX Scoop’ delivered for $15.

      I believe the prices of the 470ml tubs vary from store to store (i remember seeing a post with all the prices on facebook as they recently raised them) but the last time I bought one it was about $12.

      So its a slight mark up to have it delivered by the look of it.

      Uber has a system of detecting multiple phone numbers in the same phone. Happened to someone I know.

      You might have to end up paying for rides/ice cream if you register multiple accounts.

          you dont need a new phone, just sign a new uber account. new email. new paypal using a gift card as visa, $1 sim card from amaysim

          whole process took me 5minutes

          5 minutes for icecream now

          If you "registered it as a new person", you get $25 credit to spend on first ride on the new sim AND $25 credit to spend on your existiing customer's next ride

          so yes, it is definitely worth it

          PS> the icecream was freakign AMAZING, better than Ben and Jerrys. Hazlenut fudge with chocolate bits, wow. wow. wow.

          @Ninjabredman: haha thanks for the update, almost a week after the event :p will keep in mind for next time I guess. I have multiple credit/debit cards so that could've worked. Some person above said uber can tell if you're using the same phone hence my paranoia. I'm still going through the B&Js but yes Messina is king shit.
