        • Haha, you got closer than I did, all I got was you ordered outside the promotion dates so you are ineligible for the code.
I'm okay with that though, saved over $100 on the card anyway.

Might give it a try with EVGA when it arrives and I can register the card on the website, although they have apparently been less relaxed with promotional codes lately.

I've been informed (after purchasing a couple of cards) that Australia has a different system for these free games, apparently we have to connect to the Manufactures website and fill out some details on their "promotions" section - basically we need to buy local to receive the promotional game. I've also been told that other countries get a card inside the GPU box which has a promotional code to get the game …….. I'm sure there must be someone around here in computer retail who could provide us with more info.

For EVGA cards you need to claim in on their web site.

    http://au.evga.com/articles/00946/Metal-Gear-Solid-V/

That's what I had to do it for Batman and it will be the same of for MGS.

      • Valid only with the purchase of a qualifying EVGA product model listed below while supplies last and the product must be on or after July 23rd, 2015.

      I purchased mine on the 22nd :(

      • Also has to be a qualifying Model Number, something I had to be careful of when purchasing for The Witcher 3 Promo.

  • I purchased mine on the 22nd as well but didn't receive confirmation of payment till the 23rd.

The invoice says 22nd though! :( I will be sending it back to NewEgg if that is the case……

    • So you saying we can use http://au.evga.com/articles/00946/Metal-Gear-Solid-V/
which is AUS to register card from newegg?

It state on the site "Offer available for a limited time or while supplies last. The promotion is for Australia / New Zealand only."

When I bought EVGA card about 2 months ago I was told to go through EVGA web site for the Batman game. I did buy them locally.

Although NewEgg is offshore, I purchased the 980ti from .au web site. So I'm sure EVGA will honour it.

I did lodge a support ticket regarding date issue with EVGA. I bought mine on the 22nd and the deal says purchases after the 23rd. I explained the situation in the my support ticket and I just received email saying when claiming the game to lodge it as purchase date on the 23rd. So let's see what happens……

        • Did exactly this, put a note on invoice showing date as 22/7/2015 explaining that in my timezone 12.05pm in California was around 5am on the 23/07/2015.

Registered card, uploaded invoice, requested code.

2hrs later -> approved and code emailed to me.

  • How long do newegg usually take to deliver to aus?

    • mine is taking quite long - at no fault of newegg. delay seems to be on DHL's end

      23/7 7:17am - picked up by DHL
      28/7 10:12pm - transport to destination country

  • Mine has just been delivered.

    • ditto on that, got the gigabyte one

  • I put through my order on 22nd….

Still not here. Last Thursday it said it was handed over DHL partner…. which is AustPost! yikes.
    No update on Friday….

This Monday it said in transit….. so I thought it would be delivered today. Check the status this morning… not it says it still being processed at Vic.

problem is….. I live in NSW. What the hell is is to doing there. Its coming up to 1 week overdue now….

    • Luck of the draw with international freight. Mine spent almost a week sitting with customs…..

      • Customs? Not sure how a graphics card can be dangerous/illegal….Just send it straight to your home, without any of this custom bullcrap…. Damn; over-protective officers………

        • Wasn't even opened, I'd guess if it was intentional delay they may have been waiting to see if anything else came for me from same supplier to knock me over the $1000 threshold and charge tax.

Turned up today, pretty crappy ASIC but still a big improvement over last card : )

  • Anyone had delays complain to NewEgg via online chat option. When I was trying to follow this up on Monday they said when it does finally arrive contact them and they will refund or partial refund the shipping cost.

Mine arrived today and I went back and they refunded $20. Which is better than nothing.

Guys as I mentioned earlier I was able to redeem MSG code with no issues. Just make sure when you are entering in the date that you put it done as 23rd of July! I mine yesterday.

    • where do you get the code?

      • +2

        EVGA Australia Website

You will need to make a user account, register your card once it arrives under your profile, then upload a copy of your invoice. As hondo said, make sure you put the date as 23/7/2015.

Then once approved, you will be able to view your code on the EVGA website. They will email you when it is approved and include a link to the page.

You will need to take that code, and go to the Geforce redemption portal. Select your region (Australia), input your birthdate, insert the code issued by EVGA. Log in to Steam website through here and your copy will be added to your steam library.

Can confirm this works as I received mine yesterday as well. Invoice date was 22/07/2015 but I explained in a note on the invoice jpg that this was 23/07/2015 in Australia due to timezone difference. +17hrs California local time to EST Australia.
