Hi There,

The Telstra eBay store currently has some great deals running. I recently purchased an official iPhone 6 plus leather case for $29. Currently they only have the blue, olive brown and red available at these discounts. Apple RRP is $69 and Telstra RRP is $59.

There are also a number of official Apple silicon cases available at $22 for the iPhone 6 plus from a Telstra RRP of $45.

    That's a good price for a Genuine Apple Case, but just remember that the new iPhone 6s/6s Plus are due in September.

    The rumour is that the new iPhones will be slightly thicker and these cases would not fit as a result (as they are a tight fit for the iPhone). Telstra could be trying to run out their current stock as a result. It's just a rumour though.

      Worth the risk at this price. The iPhone 5/5S had slightly different thicknesses and cases were interchangeable.

    I have one of the official leather cases
    While they feel really good, overall I just don't think they are great in terms of wear, and protection. I recently switched it out to a Ringke case.

    Also I think with the 6/6+ it has taken a step back versus the leather iphone 5 case where the lip fully encompassed all edges of the phone.

    I have a leather case made by Apple for the iPhone 5S

    They fit well and look and feel great but the problem is they break easy around the inputs and silent switch are which makes them loose on your phone after time

      Also the problem is that they are $29. Never paid more than $2-3 for a phone cover. If you really want leather thats a different story but apart from yorself, no one will notice… and function is exactly the same regardless of material used in production

    All the colours no one wants, i got a new Olive Brown off eBay a month ago for $30. It does mark, Black is the only one that doesn't show.

    I have a red Iphone 6 apple leather case. It is rubbish. Looks disgusting now as its all black. I would only buy a black one. Otherwise you are wasting your money.

        When I spoke to someone in store they just told me to try to clean it myself. They didn't offer an exchange.

    Just note the leather cases from Apple offer a lot less protection than the cheaper silicone versions if the the YouTube drop tests are anything to go by.

      I dropped my iPhone 6 (with a genuine Apple leather case) twice and it caused a crack both times. The 2nd time they replaced for free because it was a hairline with no visible damage, but still.

        Firstly i dont know why i should be negged for simply wondering something, especially if someone else has tried doing that in the past and succeeded.

        Secondly the iphone 6 Plus leather case RRP to apple is $69, and the iphone 6 leather case is $65. So indeed if you came across a nice apple employee who was willing to do that for you, the matter of principle still stands that you are not asking for an item of lesser value in exchange.

        We are talking about an apple branded accessory, which means stock and pricing is still dictated by apple.

      There are a few differences. I have had the PU leather case ($10) and should be receiving my Apple case ($29) soon. From what I can tell, the PU Leather case is 'fake' leather. The feel in the hand isn't luxurious like the Apple one (I have played with one in store). The Apple case is much softer and feels really nice in the hand. They are also a bit more grippy. Both cases cover the volume buttons and the power button. The PU leather case is stiffer so the buttons are a bit harder to press compared to the Apple one. The upside of the PU leather case is that in a lighter colour, it will show dirt but at a lesser rate than the original Apple case. Also, it is cheaper which is always a plus. But at $29 for a genuine Apple product with high quality leather and delivery within a few days from time of purchase, it's worth considering.

        I keep changing my cover every 4 to 6 months that is where I was weighing up the $10 case vs original at 3 times the price @ $30. But thanks for your explanation, it is pretty much you get what you pay for. Also going with the genuine stuff means you cannot easily go wrong…

    I purchased this case for the regular 6, but just received this 6 Plus size instead.

    Does anyone know if I will be able to swap this around at an Apple or Telstra store? I'd rather not have to deal with returning it and then waiting for another to be sent out again (if they have any left anyway!!).

    I have had the black apple cover on my phone since I got it in October last year. There weren't many other covers around and I never leave my devices naked. I haven't had any issues with it, but I also usually put it in my purse in my bag so it isn't bashed around. I do like the feel of them in the hand.
