Some important stuff
Prices shown here include CC/booking fees. Prices are good until sold out. If you have a paypal account or POLi then the cheapest way to purchase these tickets is through the Jetstar site. If you intend on paying by CC (for points/don't have paypal etc) then the prices here are just as cheap as with Jetstar direct.

And a bit more…

Thanks :) Is there any way to avoid CC fees with IWTF?

    • +2

I am looking at it, and hopefully it will be possible soon. At the moment, these prices are offered through Expedia, which doesn't (YET) offer a paypal option. eDreams & BravoFly also offer some of these flights, but also don't have paypal as an option. The Australian companies like BestJet and BYOJet have ways to pay that avoid fees, but they don't offer these flights.

I'll add a reminder about avoiding fees.

  • 'Say Kiaro'. Should be Kia Ora.

Quite right. Fixed, and I'm off to get coffee.

SYD-AKL r/t 4/11 - 9/11 - your graph is showing $191 return, but clicking thru on dates brings up $264. Bait and switch?

    • Sometimes the cheapest supplier does not respond with their prices. Come back after 20 mins (so that you don't get the cached results from your first search) and then try again.

  • Cheers! Looks like I'm off to NZ next month.

  • Melbourne to auckland is only $170.76 on jetstars own site

yeah, seems to be a little cheaper on the Jetstar website. i'm getting Sydney - Auckland for $175

Just trying to point out that there are cheaper flights elsewhere. Unsure why I got the negs.

        • I think it might be because it is only cheaper if you pay via paypal - and I have already stated that in the OP.

I didn't neg, though so I cannot be sure.

        • -1

No problem. You can also pay by POLi without getting charged fees.

Nice website by the way, very useful.

        • @m0nk3d: Forgot about POLi - I have updated the OP

Thats the price without CC fees. Once you get to the payment stage & add CC fees, you get the same prices I have posted. If you can pay by paypal, then you can avoid the CC fees by purchasing on the Jetstar site (as I have noted in the OP).

  • Nice prices, have been tempted to go to NZ for a while.

      Über

    • On previous trips I've found that there are really cheap rental cars in NZ. Because their import laws and liability insurance are different to ours it seems that rental operators can provide older cars for quite cheap prices.

Awesome. Just booked some to Wellington. These flights are really early / overnight to wellington. But you wont get them any cheaper!

  • thank you!

  • Nothing from Brisbane :(

    • Sorry - not this time.

On public transport it's actually cheaper to go from central station to GC airport than BNE airport! Brisbane Airtrain is $17, but the train/bus down to OOL is $16.28 or $8.14 for concession. If you live on the southside then it's even cheaper.

Looks like the Airtrain has no student fares either.

      • It's only $17 if you pay full price, cheaper depending on how far away you book one online. Plus the 21minute trip to airport Is definitely more convenient than travelling down to GC airport..
http://www.airtrain.com.au/products_cbd Can get as low as $14.45 one way

      • There are public transport alternatives to the airtrain, granted, they're by bus, but still… Fairly affordable. I've never used the airtrain and I don't plan on it!

  • Bought flights a couple weeks ago to Queenstown for $700 :(

    • thanks for the pickup - fixed.

  • Yup cheaper direct from the Jetstar site for me $384 by paypal for the missus and me Gold Coast to Wellington in Feb with no carry on or extras - very pleased. Now to find cheap flights to Perth :) Thanks OP.

  • The supplier which had the cheap flights was not responding for a while - which meant that prices were ~$20 more expensive than the ones posted in the OP. The supplier is responding again, so you should get the prices I have listed. I'll monitor this throughout the morning.

  • Is there anyway to fly into one city and fly out of another, and still keep get these prices?
From Melbourne, for example, flying into Auckland and out from Wellington?

  • Anything from Adelaide? Adelaide very expensive :(

  • When does this sale end?

    • +1

Today at 11.59pm according to Jetstar's site

  • I made a booking to Auckland through Jetstar's own site for the $170.76 return. I chose bank deposit as the payment method. The interesting part that was when I went back in to manage the booking it let me pay with my AMEX with no surcharge or fees. It said no fees for any payment method. This was done on the desktop website, the mobile site said it would charge fees.
Interested to see if someone else has experienced similar? I had a $50 Jetstar voucher I was issued from a previous flight, so I also had that applied. Not sure if that would be the reason for no card fees, but I doubt it.
