  • Bought one!

  • Beat me by 10 seconds…Great deal, I gave these out as presents loaded with photos to grandparents and Parents last year. They absolutely loved them.

  • I ended up buying 3.
Great presents for older relatives etc…

Christmas next year getting sorted Mwhahahaha….

    • presumably in 12 months things will become slightly cheaper…

  • This 7" ones are not good. they are not 2x3 ratio. So ur fotos will be stretched and look elongated.

    • Do any 7" ones exist that don't stretch standard resolution pictures? I returned one I bought before because all my pictures were stretched, rather than keeping the aspect ratio.

None of the widescreen ones won't stretch or crop. 234 vertical pixels is pretty bad too - that's fewer pixels than my small phone screen has (240 vertical pixels). Photos will look blocky and jagged.

The best ones are the non-widescreen ones (5:4 AR). 800x600, 1024x768. Not very common, unfortunately. The next best thing is a high-res widescreen one, which usually starts at 8" (800x480).

This deal is good for what it is, but I personally wouldn't bother getting a low-res photo frame as photos will look pretty awful on it, IMHO. Cheaper panels like these will suffer not only from the jaggies due to the massive dot pitch, but also from poor colors and poor viewing angles.

    • nevermind

  • Bought one with a 4gb memory stick and a $6 mouse added in $57

Dont really need one but pretty cheap

Only supports JPG display and resolution is too low.

looks good for th price. DOes anybody know how much electricity does it use? I am afraid about wasting energy as it will be plugged in all the time.

    • Yeh that is what I worry about too. There is no point getting a cheap frame if it uses heaps of electricity.

Just walking around at Big W and saw 7" digital frames at $44. Didn't pay attention to the specs

  • no sound or video. no remote.. but yes this is cheap

    480x234 is pathetic.

      • ahk, i might give it a miss then.
