  • What's the difference between this $179 one and the $49 discounted Coles or Woolies deal?

    • +2

I think they don't take "nespresso" pods. Eg Coles one takes the Lavazza pods.

    • I was just asking myself the very same question!

    • I heard the Woollies espresso pod machine is very good.
      I thought they were Nespresso???

      • nope, not nespresso.

    • +1

Something funny happens when George Clooney drinks Nespresso.

When he has a Coles or Woolies coffee nothing happens.

  • Essentially the choice you're making is which brand of pods you want to be locked into. The caffitaly machine range probably has the biggest range of coffee suppliers going for it. I ended up tasting a lot and finding my preference ran to the Nespresso range. In terms of differences of machines they all do the same thing… just a little differently. Some will heat the coffee faster, some will be more programmable for personal preferences, some will have a larger water tank, etc.

Is it worth the extra $130? I damn well hope so!

  • good price.
my sister has had this model for years. Makes a dozen coffees, at least, every day, never had a problem.
it uses the lever style for capsules, meaning Coles brand etc compatible ones work - machines that have a motorised capsule system are designed (sneakily) so compatible capsules wont work.

  • Is the sale over? The price is back to $299.
