yeah I think they are the same, I had one from each this week just so I could compare them
Nah maccas ones are crispier, the HJs one I've had are just soggy, if you hold it horizontally, it'll bend, whereas the maccas one will remain straight

No. No they are not, and neither are the hotcakes, the burgers or the fries. They only thing HJ does seem to do right is the odd special flavoured shake/ice cream

@ausmechkeyboards: Have you eaten at Maccas lately? There's an entire Create your own burger menu. Not to mention the awesome buns on the Angus burgers.
@Lukian: not "entire" except Pork Sausage, Chicken & Fish…. what's left is only "Beef" or Angus "Beef"…
Better coke icees at Hungry Jacks. Frappes best at Maccas. Cofffees there are hit n miss. Rest of everything on every day menu at Maccas or HJ's is horrid. Not that i care honsetly lol
@Lukian: Have you eaten at Hungry Jack's lately? The standard menu is good enough so that you don't need to mess with your food to make it edible. But if you want to walk on the wild side, ask for some (free) Piri Piri sauce and jalapenos :-)

Nah man, the create your own burgers still have that 'Maccas' taste about them. Definitely better than the usual line up, but I still think HJs burgers are better.@Lukian: Yeah but you'd hope a burger that costs a minimum of $8.95 by itself would taste a bit better than a sloppy Whopper :)
"good" and "Maccas" should not be put in the same sentence. Maccas hashbrowns are absolutely disgusting. Go eat some real hashbrowns by following a professional's recipe.

Our local Maccas has just installed order yourself touch screens . You still have to pay at the register so you get to line up twice . I won't be going back .
You can pay by card at the touch screens.
