Hmmm, "Download the app and get your first month free when you sign up for the Ultimate Pack". But not if you sign up to the Ultimate Pack + Sports? Also, I think Telstra need to look up the meaning of the word 'ultimate'…

    • Yeah appears to be only the 'Ultimate' marked as 1st month free. And yeah, you can see the Foxtel mentality :P

  • I currently have Foxtel Play with the sports pack so I can watch the F1 but can't tell if the Ultimate + Sports has that included.
It looks like a lesser sports pack because it doesn't have ESPN or ESPN2.

If it did have Fox Sports channels which showed the F1 then I'd switch because $20 a month is a good saving over $50 a month with Foxtel Play with Sports.

  • Its great that its quota free for Telstra mobile users.. but the quality is horrible, seems like 240p or something.

My mouth was open out of sheer delight when reading this post.

It is now open out of I cannot believe this $h!t.

Get access to 30 Mobile Foxtel channels + 4 Sport channels <— You do NOT get Fox Sports!! Talk about baiting.

    • No EPL ! Damn there goes my motivation.

That said, I'm going to +1 for the OP as for people like myself who travel on public transport for over two hours a day, getting quota free streaming TV to my phone or tablet for a dollar a day (or less depending on plan) is not a bad deal.

  • I'm guessing the ability to Airplay (w/o jailbreak) using this app has been blocked? Can anyone confirm?

  • Does the quota free viewing apply to pre-paid?

Do you get AFL games and AFL360 etc?

  • This is a standard offer for any new Telstra sim card.. I've used it 3 times this year already. The channels are all "mobile" versions and have different schedules to real Foxtel and sports channels are not included. And yes it is unmetered for pre-paid users, but the show selection is poor.

    • So not real Foxtel?

      • Exactly, they have FX but I never saw The Walking Dead and they didn't show Wayward Pines when I had it. For real Foxtel you need Foxtel Go.

        • Did they have Game of Thrones?

        • @Lenneth:

Never watched it so didn't look, but I highly doubt it.

  • bit of gimmick for people to sign up to telstra…..

    • How? This isn't going to make someone magically get on a Telstra contract! This might, but surely not a $15 saving…!

  • Movies don't look like they are included either.

  • This isn't a bargain - it's the standard offer and has been for months.
