      Open Klook app, go to Trips tab down the bottom. Your SIM should be in that list.

      Interesting.. I didnt have the app downloaded but redeemed for a Japan one on the website no problem. Note that while it says $25 maximum, you can only claim the 5gb total data packages for 7 or 15 days.

      It appears under “My bookings” and shows “not activated yet”. There’s an “Activate” button. So only activate when you need to. I have expiry date of 7/05/2026 to use it

    I was able to claim this free 5GB eSIM for Japan after redeeming the recent free 3GB offer for Indonesia on the same account. Time will tell if it will let me activate it on the same device or not come February next year when I’m going overseas.

    It seems to only work for existing Klook customers with a purchase history. I tested it with 3 such accounts and worked first go, but with newly created accounts I get the error everytime "Unable to redeem promo code. Please reach out to Klook Customer Support"

    Klook is based in Hong Kong so would be covered by the 2017 Chinese national intelligence law that requires all companies and entities to cooperate with security agencies as required. Presumably this means your internet data and/or use patterns can be accessed by these agencies. Perhaps less of an issue depending on what precautions you take with encryption and VPNs.
