does this have free upgrade to windows 10?

Minor mistake on the Dick Sith website - it's a 256GB SSD, not HDD.

      Fixed, thanks.

  • A genuine deal from Dick.

  • Still nowhere near as good as the Vaio deals from B&H last year for similar specs. They were under $1k delivered.

    • Hmm just realised those were i5 proceessor and 128gb ssd so not that far off value wise.

  • This one OR dell xps 13 guys ? Need to press the trigger !

      The DELL is $1000 more!
It's your wallet, go for the ASUS and get 10 massages and still cheaper than the DELL.

        That price includes 13.3-inch UltraSharp™ QHD+ (3200 x 1800) infinity touch display.

The comparable model would cost $1,899 (1080p screen), which is still expensive compared to this asus.

Depends how badly you want carbon fibre wristpads and thin bezels.

          Ahhh I see, thanks. :)

I've used the 13" XPS infinity touch display, very funky on some programs with the high resolution, it comes with Winodws text already magnified 150% had to scale it back down to 100% and text was misaligned on a couple of programs. Scaled back to 100% most text is so tiny. Glad it's not my full time rig, nice kit though.

Get 15% discount if ur a racv member (or other state insurer).
Got mine get returned too, it was 1999 at the time(before Aud drop), ended up paying 1500+.

I got one for my partner and I think its definitely the best ultra book available on the market (including the air from the fruit company)
But Id suggest 1080 rather than QHD+, a lot of blurry displays…even in win10.

The white Acer ultrabook is another one to look at, good design too, also Lenovo yoga($$$).

Don't know what Asus is thinking, why would u need entry level GPU when you got Intel HD 5200???

  • Thank you thank you ! Malouphix and jubefied .

  • For a little more grunt

    http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1067736-REG/asus_ux303…

Asus UX303LB as above with 12gb RAM, 512GB SSD, 3200x1800 touch screen, 1 yr international warranty for $1299 USD. Delivery is 88 USD. Works out at about $2000 + $200 GST

Almost double the price for more memory, SSD and better resolution. No thanks.

You forgot $75 customs processing fee.

Good price on this asus, also recommend the Acer S7 that works out to be $1485 with the same coupon (plus $99 cashback, works out to be $1386).
Depending on what you prefer, I find the look of S7 better than the ux303 (personally like the look of ux301 better).
This ux303 also has better CPU and GPU, but the performance difference is negligible. S7 is much thinner.

    • also, this UX303 doesn't come with a laminated screen (whereas the S7 and others like Yoga pro and HP Spectre X360 have laminated screens), had a little look in store and found that out.

  • UX305 is my choice! :p

Core M? You got to be kidding..

      • Thinnest notebook in the world (I think). I would only use it for basic things like surfing the web, watching videos, light programming and taking it to work.

    http://www.dicksmith.com.au/laptops-notebooks/asus-15-6-ux50…

This looks good.. $1489 after the 15% off.. 15.6" thin and includes the GTX960M for some really decent gaming..

    • 4th gen i7.

      • Yeah.. downside.. but I'm probably more concerned about Battery life and overheating. Been through 3 slimline gaming laptops already (HP Envy 17, Dell's XPS's etc) and all have had overheating problems. But its still a damned good price though for what it is..

      • +1

Difference between 4th and 5th gen is just so small… even the 6th gen doesn't have much of a performance improvement. I guess that's what happens when AMD isn't picking up their game…

  • Not bad at all…

  • Seems like a great deal….wonder what the battery life is like.

    • Reviews are saying 6-9 hours battery life depending on what you do with it.

Pulled the trigger on this to replace my MBA 2011. Thanks OP..
