    12 months - AUD $17.64 (15% + 40% discount)

its so cheap cause i had original account so more of a discount for the deals price in usd is a rip off.

also incorrect as 40% off the standard pricing of $33 is $20 usd

    • +1

Standard pricing is at $47.40. So 40% off $47.40 is 28.44

I just saw it's not accumalated so 30% off THEN 40% my bad.

since when did they switch from AUD to USD?
i have two accounts with aud 17.64 AUD

        • +2

One of the lucky ones I guess

        • +1

@tds: Look at past deals mate last year they where alot cheaper then this.

I see the neggers are coming out and negging me once again for ABSOLUTLY NO REASON! they can suck a fat one.

        • +1

@holden93: I'm guessing the negs are because you're talking about prices that aren't available and haven't been for a while. (I did not neg you).

@tantryl: That was my second post I didn't know they are now USD pricing now the original AUD.

        • @holden93: So only the second post is inaccurate? How do I get 12 months for AUD $17.64? Hell, even USD $17.64 sounds good. Can I get that?

        • @tantryl: My first post was inaccurate cause i was deducting the 40% off the $33 which is the price on there website which is 30% off.

the second post is me realizing my mistake and then asking when the pricing changed from AUD to USD

and the $17.64 is pricing for account made very early on in getflix's life when they first opened ep their doors. as it was much cheaper then and the price has stuck for then accounts.

        • +1

They switched to $USD pricing when they sold out.

if you want an Australian based company try dns4me

        • @holden93: Geez, someone downloaded that explanatory post too. I guess people are just being tools.

        • @supabrudda: Yeah they have good pricein i used them for a month ages ago and where no different then Getflix.

Id use them if my getflix account wasnt cheaper, but definetly great priceing for New customers looking for a simple Netflix region switcher.

        • @supabrudda: uflix is another good alternative but newer

        • @tds:
So far uflix can only unlock Netflix and BBC iPlayer.

      • Isn't the standard price for the 12mths membership $33? The 30% off is permanent. So its really only 10% off the standard price.

  • Really annoying as I literally subscribed 3 days ago. I applied the promo to my account. Do you know if I make a payment now and get the 40% off, would it just extend my account for another year?

If I don't do anything except for applying the code to my account will I get the 40% off when I renew next year?

    • Yes to both. If you apply the code, it will update the pricing and you can pay now for another year or wait until next year. I applied a code ages ago, but had over 400 days to go on my sub. Still waiting to pay

    Beginners Question:

Do you need to sign up to the actual service (e.g. Netflix or HBO) on top of this or does this allow you to access those as part of it.

    • +2

You need subscriptions to the services you use

    • +1

Getflix allows you to access oversees content from Netflix. You need a Netflix subscription to start with.
If you have a Netflix subscription without Getflix you can only access the content available on Netflix at your location (Australia).
Netflix US has way more content.

      • tds/dan76n, thanks for the replies. It just didn't specify in the original blurb that I read.

I have an active credit card subscription that expires in 52 days, but I can't buy another year with this code unless I cancel the existing subscription. Has any one tried this or should I just wait for the inevitable next code in 2-3 months?

    • +3

canceling doesnt remove remaining days only the auto renew part.

  • +2

I use these guys US$2/month without contract. If you don't use the VPN feature of getflix then it'd be cheaper by a few $/yr.

    • It's actually [email protected] - Ozbargainers save another cent

    • Another happy adfreetime user here. Works great for the price.

    • Do they enable Netflix only?

      • They do a whole bunch of things like Hulu too. Check out the site :D

+1 recommendation to Getflix. Very easy to setup. Child-like guides for every device.

  • Has anyone got the BBC iPlayer? I have Getflix and haven't worked out how to get iPlayer on my iPad.

    • +1

You have to create a UK iTunes account and install it in the App Store. After it's on your iDevice you can switch back to your regular AU account.

      • Thanks for the info!

  • Thanks mate,

My trial expires in two days and I was going to purchase any way. Cheers
