6 Months Free License with F-Secure Freedome VPN

2260
FRDECHQ3

Since my previous VPN expired i went on the hunt for a replacement. I came across this deal. I've only been using them for a few hours but impressed with the speed. They have 17 locations you can connect to, one of them is Melbourne. It Allows P2P (Torrents). I've checked on ipleak.net and dnsleak.com and no leakage.

To get it follow these steps.

  1. Go to https://campaigns.f-secure.com/freedome/chip/de_DE/ (website is in German)
  2. In Kampagnencode box enter FRDECHQ3
  3. Enter your email address in the next box (must be a valid email address)
  4. select Englisch in next box
  5. Don't tick the tick box unless you want to be added to their mailing list.
  6. Press the purple box to submit

You will then receive an email asking to confirm your email address. Click the link in the email and you will be sent another email shortly. Download from the link. You will get 14 days trial. Enter the code provided in the email in the subscription section of the program and it will boost it up to 180 days.

Enjoy!

This offer started almost a month ago, so not sure when it's going to end.

  • Is there a way to use the VPN without downloading the dmg / exe installer file?

Also, does it come with DNS too? for PS3

    • +1

no its a package. you need to install the program for it to work.

      • Ah…too bad it can't do it over PS3; but still a good freebie though

        THANKS! :)

  • Something odd, downloaded the Windows app; connected to the VPN; but then accessing whatismyip through Chrome & IE, and it still shows my original IP…
Ps; using West & East coast USA servers

    • Is your browser open prior to connecting to the VPN? I find you have to open a new browser after the VPN connects to disconnect from your IP address. Give it a try and let me know if it works.

  • Disregard, I didn't read the instructions properly. Still working.

  • When I check on ipleak.net and dnsleak.com there are no leaks. When I go shopping to certain websites it recognises the country I selected in the vpn). Seems fine in these instances.
However, when I go to the US website of eBay, it probably thinks I'm in the US (I select West Coast US), but somehow, it shows the shipping costs to Australia? When I go the item and check, it states shipping to Australia.
Now, I tried to watch an episode of 2020 (ABC in the US). I closed the browser and made sure that the VPN was connected to the US, then opened to watch this episode, it stated that I was outside of the US and it will not allow me to watch it!
