Windscribe Pro VPN: Annual Subscription US$29 (~A$45.41) for 1 Year @ Windscribe

90
FOTWENNY

I received this offer in an email newsletter from Windscribe celebrating nine years of Windscribe.
I subscribed at the US$29/year rate from last year's deal, which I think is a pretty great price, considering their inclusions and broad offerings in server locations.

  • I wish I signed up for the lifetime for US$49 or whatever's it was but I'm in for US$19/yr at the moment

    • I was lucky enough to get the lifetime.

However full disclosure, it's not actually lifetime (at least not mine of the products lifetime).

      • Is that the Putin's lifetime deal?

      • Is it the one that expires every 10 years? I believe you can ask the support and they will renew it for free.

        • yeah when it hits 10 years we see lol

        • Apparently it will auto renew every 10 years. They posted on Reddit.

Is that the Putin's lifetime deal?

    • When was the lifetime deal $49?
The free putin lifetime deal was if you were on the 50/60GB free deals posted here. They offered US$10/year for yearly pro subscription to those on those plans.

      • My bad, it was $69 back in 2018/2019 I think.

You are correct on the Putin lifetime deal.

        In 2018 : https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/418272
And it was actually $35.40 USD ~$49 AUD (I wasn't charged $35.50 as per deal description, not that the $0.10 would matter for those that wish they could still buy lifetime. The one year sub now is almost the same cost as lifetime AUD price from 2018. That lifetime sub was not linked to Putin or anybody else afaik)

I'll let you know in 2028 if windscribe will extend my sub

        Lifetime Pro Expiry Date
You may have noticed an expiry date on your Lifetime Pro plan and are wondering "What gives? I thought this was a LIFETIME plan??"

Rest assured, there is nothing to worry about. In order to make the Lifetime Pro plan function on our end under the hood, we had to give it a duration, which in this case is 10 years. However, the plan isn't actually only active for 10 years, it will renew automatically at the end of that term as long as your account still exists and hasn't been banned.

How to Keep Your Lifetime Pro Plan
There's nothing you need to do on your end to continue with the plan. The Lifetime Pro plan will automatically renew at the end of the 10 year term at no cost. If for some reason there is an issue that arises and the auto-renew doesn't happen, then simply contact our

I get this offer from windscribe every week after my sub expired this is not a good deal .

I agree, not a good deal - this seems to be the regular 'special' price.

I like the product, find it to be more stable than NordVPN, but when I tried Windscibe, I got a 3 year deal for a little more than the 1 year current offering.

Got a bit bored with the humor of the Windscribe creators - always joking in the emails they send out, and having VPN location names with alternate names for the geographic locations.

Their humor stops when you try to contact them to get them to offer a better deal or honor a previous deal.

Their AI chat bot is very advanced, and also very good at preventing you from contacting a real customer service person.

Would you prefer they show humor when they decline you an offer that no longer exists?

    • Yeah I use them and find them good but the humor is a bit off-putting TBH and makes me consider alternatives. You can tell a lot about someone by their humor - I get a lot of Joe Rogan style vibes from windscribe: lots of privilege and entitlement and talking, not much far reaching concern.

Only way I will return to windscribe is if they ever offer a lifetime plan again.

    • @paulaus What VPN are you currently using?
