iTunes Gift Cards 27.3% off (Approximately) via Coles and Dick Smith

230

My first time posting on this site!

This is actually a combination of two previously posted deals: found here and here

Basically, go to Coles and buy a Dick Smith gift card with 10% extra value, then use this gift card to buy iTunes gift cards from Dick Smith at 20% off. This is useful particularly if you're after cheap credit for Apple Music/subscriptions/iTunes purchases. However, because both Dick Smith and iTunes gift cards come in set denominations, the actual discount you get may vary.

Example 1:
1. Use $200 to purchase $220 worth of Dick Smith gift cards
2. Use the Dick Smith gift cards (which would pay for $275 worth of iTunes credit) to buy 2x $100, 1x $50 and 1x$30 iTunes cards. This leaves $4 to pay out of pocket.

Total cost: $204, for $280 worth of iTunes gift cards. (True Discount 27.1%).

Example 2:
1. Use $50 to purchase $55 worth of Dick Smith gift cards
2. Use the Dick Smith gift cards (which would pay for $68.75 worth of iTunes credit) to buy 1x $50 and 1x$30 iTunes cards. This leaves $9 to pay out of pocket.

Total cost: $59, for $80 worth of iTunes gift cards. (True Discount 26.3%).

Note: Dick Smith is not discounting $20 iTunes cards, so this deal only applies to $30, $50 and $100 iTunes cards.

Combine with 5% off transactions under $100 using MeBank, Citibank or ING Debit cards Paywave when buying the Dick Smith gift cards from Coles to bring the total discount to more than 30% off!

I prefer to support the devs if an app is worth my time it's worth paying for IMO. It's not like the music industry where stuff all gets to the artists a good chunk of the sale goes to them with the apps so I'm happy to pay for them. Tthe ones I pay for are actually good quality and worth the couple of bucks, there's being cheap then there's being a bit scummy

        • Explains why Android is so popular.

        • @gokhanh:

Yeah rather use telstra credit on google playstore.

Logic X or Final Cut Pro are good pro apps.

I use my itunes cards to pay for my Netflix subscription

      • I have so much Netflix credit from optus when they were giving away 3 months for free, much better than just 20% off.

      Netflix, Apple Music

      TGT Card Packs for Hearthstone

    • I added another cheaper example, given that most people wouldn't need $280 of iTunes credit!

      • Give the example 3:

Buy whatever amount iTunes value you want, and put the rest of the DS value into WISH gift card or Woolworth/Caltex petrol card.

  • Does anyone know what denominations the Dick Smith gift cards come in? Like, do they sell $40 gift cards, which would enable $50 iTunes credit for $36. $280 is a lot if IAPs haha.

  • Wow awesome legendary 1st post thank you soo much :)

    • I had no trouble doing this on two occasions at Coles and Dick Smith Pacific Epping, VIC. The enforcement of that policy may vary from store to store, so if staff at one store are unwilling to help you out, try another!

  • I have looked online with Dick Smith but cannot organise to buy iTunes cards without delivery (which negates the special discount they have)

Has anyone successfully bought these online with "pay online and pick up in store" (click and collect) ?
