TANTUQI 5L Utility Canvas Waist Bag Shoulder Pack US $8.35 (~AU $11.70) @ GearBest

170

hey folks came across this bag while shopping on gearbest so i bought one. So far its been a great bag its about 5 litres in size so plenty of room for storing what you need to carry everyday. I have seen the same bag on fasttech for $27 dollars U.S. and gearbest has this bag for $8 dollars U.S. so about $12 aussie dollars.

Its a great utility bag its strong and sturdy and fairly waterproof it is double stitched and has clips around it to help keep the bag together and tight… it also has a large carry strap which a lot of other bags are missing this feature this bag also molle webbing so you can attach extra if need be it has 3 different ways of carry the bag…

it looks like a Maxpedition Proteus i think it could be a copy not sure but the maxpedition is about $70 so i am cheering one of those great finds!

i would buy one for everyday use but stuff will find its way in and the airports security nazis will give me a hard time.
I refrain from taking through a bag with more than 4 pockets with me on travel these days.
Ive been pulled up for the most ridiculous things like nail clippers, sticky tape, shoe laces… list goes on

    • One time I had a sausage roll instead of a pie at the footy.

But did you get pulled up for it? And how many pockets did your bag at the time have?

I thought we were just telling random stories in irrelevant situations

      • And if I understood or agreed with that statement, we'd both be accused of retardation.

    • that is strict! are you flying international or local? i don't do much flying my self. i think all item that you carry just lay them out for the guards to check. i can't believe its gone this bad lol what do you usually carry?

      • Domestic and international. What Ive noticed is the more pockets or concealed compartments a bag has , the more they're likely to slow you down. Ive made it my rule if I need to check more than 4 pockets before I fly, i dont take it.

        Just passing on my experience.
I followed the link in the deal and watched the stuff that the aussie prepper had in that bag. Airport sec would had a field day with him and yes.. I could just see the Ninjas dropping from the roof and arresting the dude. And most are considered every day items.

Having said that, I might buy one to carry on the motorbike and use it as an oversize bum bag.. thanks for the publish.

  • Just picked one up, cost $12 and change.

Can't wait to get it and try it out.

How do you like the bag?

      • I'd like it a hell of a lot more if I'd actually received the bloody thing.

Gearbest have given me the run around so far, apparently I need to wait until after the 31st of October, 2015, before they will accept a complaint of non-receipt.

Really quite annoyed at the whole process, wish I'd never ordered it to be honest.

        • sorry mate! you can try and contact paypal if you paid that way? its a shame its a good bag.
