Samsung T1 250GB $106.48 USD delivered (Approx $155 AUD) at Amazon seems to be a better deal

and you also don't have to deal with dodgy store like ozgameshop

    • Yep. Good deal, even the 500Gb size.
Major benefit to just buying a separate drive and case is the security feature of the Samsung. Thanks.

You can just buy a bare drive (240GB for $109 @ Shopping Express deal) and buy a SATA to USB 3.0 adapter for about $6.40 delivered
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/USB-3-0-To-SATA-Adapter-Converter…

No need to pay the premium for a nicely packaged SSD.

    • An external HDD enclosure is nicer, put the SSD in that. I made one with a cheap USB3 enclosure a few months ago, write speed is about 7 gigabytes per minute (about 115 megabytes per second).

I wish I could find a nicer enclosure though. I'd like one with a full-size USB3 b-type connector on the enclosure, I find the micro USB connectors to be too fragile.

    • Waiting for their offer again..
