Espressotoria Machine and 72 Capsules of Coffee - $41.94 @ Woolworths

90

So this deal has been posted a few times before @$50.34, but from what I can see previously no-one had posted that the actual purchase price was as low as $39.84 (using 5% discounted Wish gift card) simply by buying six packs of the Italian Blend Capsules at $6.99.

So six packs is $41.94. With 5% off, $39.84.

I tried this at the local Woolworths (self scan checkout) and it scanned as 6 x italian blend capsules @$6.99 each, and the machine scanned as $0.

Apologies if I missed anyone listing this previously.

  • is this machine any good ?

    • Does the job. Coffee pods are not bad either.

    • +1

Haven't tried any other pods except the Italian blend, but they aren't too bad. Bit like the Nespresso is ok, there is a "decent" amount of crema, and temperature isn't scaldingly hot. Oh, there is a review of the machine here

  • Pity the coffee itself is awful. Vittoria also make this blend in Nespresso capsules and were on sale for $4 at Woolies. They are so bland and mild it is like they have only half the amount of coffee compared to other brands, even the mildest Coles brand has more flavour.

    • as a deal, it's great value.

I've tried different coffee from 4 of these machines and I didn't like any of them. They were better than a McDonalds regular coffee, but they were not on par with
      - McCafe
      - Cookie Man
      - Muffin Break
Etc. any decent cafe is miles in front of any pod I've tried. I can't tell you the brands (beyond Nespresso), I've tried them at friends' houses and at one business.
A friend of mine also owns a Delonghi PrimaDonna xs - which makes very good coffee if used with decent beans. It is totally (and I mean totally) unlike any pod I've tried.

  • Only works with Vittoria pods, not the other ones.

So I dont think the deal cost $41.94, but more like $50ish.

Sorry… just saw your comment and it has worked with the $6.xx pods (Vittoria pod cost $6.99… i bought mine for $8.xx from Coles earlier). Neg reversed.

    And good deal.

  • I have one of these machines and I think the coffee is great, I have tried other machines including $1K+ ones and prefer this one, I use the aurora esspresso pods and use latte sized glasses and it's pretty good, better than some cafe bought coffees. Its not bitter and if you find it is a little weak use two pods. Often you can buy pods on sale and it works out to be about 25 cents a pod when pods are half price. I track this religiously as I use this machine daily.

  • I'm tossing up between one of these and the aldi expressi for my office at work. Break even point for me at one cup a day is between 12 and 18 months depending on which vittoria capsules I like. Do they come on special often? Anyone used both and able to comment on ease of use, taste etc of the two systems?

    • @newdad : The Chicco D’oro capsules are $4.49 for 12. So 37c a coffee. Some people have said they are not bad.
They come in Ristretto and Espresso. Check here for all available

      • So if you brought Chicco D’oro capsules at $4.49 x 6 = $26.94 then your machine is free ? That will be a great deal, can someone confirm ?

        • Only valid on Vittoria coffe capsules.

  • This deal is still on till tomorrow.I just got one machine with 6 packs of coffee from my local Woolies which does not display this offer.

And my purchase has been qualified for week one $30 requirement.(EDR offer:4*$30 in 4 weeks and get $50 off one purchase)

    Thanks,OP!
