  • Thinking of signing up for one for these. Anyone got any tips?

  • Thanks! More courses to add to my collection.

'MEMORY IMPROVEMENT: Key Techniques To Improve Your Memory' has run out already, just FYI.

Damn it! that was the one I wanted… At least I think it was.

    • The calculus one has run out as well now :(

    • was gonna get this… but I forgot

  • Wow haven't seen a free Udemy post for a while. Got'a catch em all! (Except the memory one unfortunately)

    • just signed up for the habits course. Analyzing ones self is is extremely difficult yet necessary if progress is required.

Thanks, couldn't resist signing up for Make Your First Video Game.

(And "How to Find an Email Address for Anyone" for all my creepy and probably illegal internet stalking!)

I'd advise checking out Unity. It's free, available on all platforms (unlike GM) and the video tutorials on their site are pretty in depth and high quality. It's also far more widely used in the industry (with a heap more documentation/tutorials/Q&A online as a result) if you plan on sticking around and continuing to make video games.

Signed up for Evernote Mastery, but am sceptical of the "was $99".

The course is 1 hour of content broken up into 16 short videos, and I'm not sure who's paying $99 for that?

Instead of a "4.7 star average rating", I'd like to see a 2-dimensional rating… a scatter plot with verified price paid on one axis and rating on the other axis.

If the guys who genuinely paid $99 are rating it 5 stars, then that means a heck of a lot more than if a bunch of people who grabbed it as a freebie (i.e. us) rate it 5 stars!

seems like all the courses have 5 stars despite being crap

guess most are just free invites from creators given to friends/fake accounts

  • Thanks TA great post!

    As always, thanks TA!

  • Thanks, TA! Although I do find these Udemy courses to be hit or miss.
