Unlimited Bandwidth VPN £2.50/Year (AU ~ $5.44) @ VPN.sh

66

At VPN.sh, we've been interested in moving towards the possibility of allowing unlimited bandwidth packages. We've worked hard to be able to provide this, and are now nearly ready to launch.

This is a very limited offer as a celebration of us launching the unlimited bandwidth packages, where you can get your unlimited bandwidth VPN for just £2.50/year. We only have a very limited amount of stock for this, however all current clients will be able to get access to 50% off for their first year once we officially launch the packages in a few weeks (standard pricing will be £30/year), so if you miss out on this offer, you can still get a great discount - just drop us an email at [email protected] if you miss out!

As with all of our VPN packages, you'll get access to all of our 11 countries (with 38 specific locations) worldwide, which have all had additional servers added over the last couple of weeks. More countries are coming soon!

NOTE: This VPN service does not allow torrents or warez.

I'll be around to answer questions as they come in.

    Not again!

  • Not sure if all VPNs are offering deals today because of this news

  • +3

After the previous "deal" (read scam) I requested a refund. No reply to date whatsoever. This guy should be banned here

    • Not sure if I was lucky or what but he actually messaged me back and I got a refund. As long as it clearly says no torrents then I don't see a problem with this deal.

      • +1

probably luck. The issue was that there was no mention on his previous deal which is what caused most people to request for a refund (and hear nothing afterwards)

    • -2

What's the ticket ID? The sales dept informed me that all refund has been processed, if this isn't the case, I'll get them sorted!

      • I made the request via email to [email protected] on the 12th of August

        • I've had this looked into, and believe that it is now resolved.

        • @LiamWithers: Thanks Liam. Although you might want to step up your customer support services, rather than waiting for people to post on a public forum or dispute through Paypal to sort out any issues. Neg revoked

        • +1

@steff: Yeah, I understand that the customer support is lacking. It definitely needs some work, and I'm looking to bring some people in to give me a hand with this. VPN.sh started as a side project for myself when I started university, and the client numbers (and inevitably, support tickets) have started to grow beyond what's capable of one person answering.

Solid improvements with support should be noticed within the next few weeks.

Posted a message for refund but hasn't replied to date. Avoid at all cost (and yes these guys should be banned from ozb!)

I bought into the last deal only to find out they didn't allow torrents despite it no where to be seen in their TOS or anywhere at all on their website.

I urge everyone to never give money to these deceiving bastards.

    • -1

Sorry to hear that you ordered without knowing about torrents. As you can see with this post, I've provided information that we do not allow torrenting.

      • I too bought from them last time wanting it for P2P. Liam was quick in giving me a refund when I wasn't happy and as Liam mentioned he is being very transparent in this post that torrents aren't allowed.

        • +2

too little too late. ozbargain is not where it needs to be said it needs to be said ANYWHERE AT ALL on there website that torrents are blocked.
when i signed up i went all over there website and found nowhere at all where it says torrents are not allowed/blocked/anything at all that desbribed it being blocked.

        • @holden93: completely agree. My feedback last time was that the OP updates the T&C's on the website which doesn't look like it's been done, so whilst he's clarified for ozbargainers, google searchers will still get stung by it.

  • Any chance you can get whoever looks after the config files to stop changing the file structure of the contents of your config zip file all the time? It makes it difficult to automate a download and extraction of the config to keep my router up-to-date with your host changes without manual intervention.

    • The structure is now sorted and won't be changing any more. Apologies for the changes, we've been altering things to ensure that all servers are accessible at all times.

      • Many thanks.

  • I have been using vpn.ac for months now.
IMO not worth bothering with these really low price options.

Vpn.ac has been very reliable. Torrents at reasonable speeds. Netflix and other USA geoblocking works easily. Be sure to use the servers that state better torrent support.

there is no damn way to cancel this service and you keep getting outstanding invoice mails month after month

    • I cancelled mine last year no probs

      • how did you do that?

        • +1

          Hi there,

If you'd like to cancel your service, please go to "My Services" from within the client area. Click the green arrow next to your service, and scroll to the bottom of the page. You'll be able to see a "Request Cancellation" button, where you can then cancel your service.

          Thanks,
          Liam

        • I used paypal, and just cancelled the paypal renewal.

          they're a bit flakey, but for under $6/yr it's a good back up/occasional vpn.
Their streaming speeds have been better then others I've tried.
I've also got their fixede IP Aus service which has been quite good, especially for VOIP over Telstra 4g (Telstra appears to prioritise VPN traffic & degrade VOIP traffic, so the VPN disguises it).

If you're using VPN from your router, then maybe try PIA.
But I only use it for shopping & some streaming (BBC, Ch5 UK for Ashes Lowlights) it's been fine.

For netflix use a DNS service (dns4me.net/getflix) …or login with the VPN, then disconnect to get decent speeds.

        • @supabrudda: Glad to hear that the streaming speeds have been good for you. The speeds should have improved with our recent updates (all current clients will have received emails about this), and our uptime should also see huge improvements (no more attempts at finding which servers are down!).

Glad to hear that the FixedRoute service is running solidly for you as well. Odd that Telstra prioritises the VPN traffic, but if it's working for you, then that's great!

@LiamWithers: I just did that and will see how cancellation request goes as I have a ticket request open for that since about a month ago and still not responded to.

        • @ozdesi: That should allow the cancellation request to take place. Could you let me know the ticket ID, just so that I can confirm that the cancellation request has gone through?

        • @LiamWithers: Thanks for your cancellation instructions seems to have worked this time.

        • +1

@ozdesi: Glad to hear that it's worked. I'll put the instructions in our knowledgebase so that it's easier for people to refer to in the future.

Pretty useless most of the time, most nodes wont connect, those that do are slow as molasses.

    • We've upgraded our service. Please refer to your emails for information on how to access the service since our upgrade, and I'm sure you'll find that everything is running absolutely perfceltly.

    • Yeah, these always seem to be a few down. For some reason they change they IP of servers and don't supply a a FQDN like most VPN services so you have to manually change the IP address instead of just entering lax.vpn.sh and letting them update the DNS for instance… Pain in the arse.

Same as others, got a refund back thru PayPal. They never responded to any of my messages.

  • Been waiting since 08/08/15 for my refund :( ticket #598863 hopefully you can speed things up, Liam.

    • This will be sorted for you shortly. Sorry for the delay!

  • No reply for over 3 weeks with my support ticket - have 2 products with them that don't work.

    http://puu.sh/jYnXV/bcb2238ae3.png

The problem is using an alias email broke the system not allowing me to login (all detailed in the ticket), other user have had the same problem.

All other VPN's work fine - it's not a configuration error have PIA and CyberGhost running 100%.

Do not buy - wasting your money.

    • Liam delivered on his request as said below - don't use an alias email to sign up with - it will break things. Validation on the signup would prevent this though.

      http://puu.sh/jYqVs/f21e4daf05.png

      • Hi there,

Yes, alias emails do break things (basically, VPN protocols don't play nicely with alias emails). I added validation on the signup a few days ago, as this was becoming a common problem. The validation should prevent anybody from having to end up with the issue that you had, Xetrok, however I do apologise for this happening in the first place.

Do let us know if the service runs well for you now that this has been sorted!

        Liam

  • I'll get this responded to shortly, just heading into the office now.

Don't waste your time with this mob.

    • +2

      Agreed.

  • if i sign up would i able to get DNS codes to use Netflix on my PS4?

    • Hi there,

We do not provide any DNS settings unfortunately. It's purely a VPN service.

      Thanks,
      Liam

  • Does not support p2p

    • This is mentioned in the original post :).

      • just making sure people that missed it will read it.
Brought it last time, turns out to be useless for me.

  • +1

…Since when does VPN.sh not allow torrenting? It was stated as allowed when I signed up a few months ago.

Either way, their Australian nodes are mostly with RansomIT, you can set up your own private VPN for around $5/mo on a server with them directly. No point paying for any kind of oversold VPN service, even if it is ~1/10th the cost.

    • Well of course some people are happy to set up their own VPN's, however with us you get a ton of worldwide locations for $5 per year, rather than one single location for $60 per year. Of course, setting up multiple locations would just make the cost of doing things yourself become higher and higher, and we provide a service that suits most needs for a fraction of the cost.

Always good to hear from another perspective though!

Avoid this **** at all costs.

I have sent several emails and none have been replied.

Why does Ozbargain allow this ripoff merchant to keep posting deals after deal is beyond me.

    Haven't there been enough complaints??
