Dropped by Vodafone to change my plan and found they got this going on. Sounds similar to what Optus is offering with international calls being different.

Vodafone's $60 SIM only now has $10 discount and 2GB bonus making it:

$50 per month
8GB Data
Unlimited Calls and TXT in Australia
Unlimited calls to China, India, USA, UK, NZ, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Sth Korea and Malaysia.
120 minutes of international call outside those 10 countries

I'm doing a month to month so I have some flexibility but was told that if I signed up for 12 months, I get a bonus 1GB making it 9GB.
To see it online, you have to add the $60 sim only plan to the cart and the discount and extra data shows in the cart.

    and the 300 minutes were to "ALL" countries, not "selected".

    I got mum on the $50 plan, which was discounted by 20% to $40. 4gig of data and the 300 minutes of international call to all countries.

    She still has about 15 days left of her cycle. The app is showing that she is on the $50 Sim only. I trust they just apply the $10 credit when the invoice is issued.

    Fair point. Obviously the old 300 minutes worked better for some people but since all my international calls are to China, HK and Malaysia, the new plan works out better for me.

      your right thou pokipop. Still a good deal if you call within the included countries, especially the untimed.

  My contract is over and i'm waiting on getting the new iPhone.. do people prefer paying the phone outright and getting a plan like this?

    Better to hold out till the new iphone is launched. You should see some good plans from all the carriers.

    Depends on whether you're a "short term savings" or "long term savings" kind of person - and whether you're obsessed with upgrading to the latest phone etc

  Vodafone also has Plan sharing scheme going on with the Red plans. So you can share some your 9gb with other family members on the same account.

  Was checking this out earlier. However the 10$ discount seems to be a bit sketchy as its not mentioned anywhere how long the discount is applicable for.
