The whole point of the term "local stock" is that it will be covered under Aussie consumer rights, not how fast it reaches to customer.
It's a very broad term actually, and just purely means 'stock that is local'. If you want to infer that it has local warranty, then that's on you, however I had just said it's shipped locally before you decided to attempt to get all Oxford Dictionary on me.
it's pretty much an understanding here on ozbargain that "local" or "oz stock" is that it will be covered by Australian warranty.
You're kinda defensive about the fact that you said "local stock" mate. There are obvious implications of that statement. Had you said "shipped locally" instead then there wouldn't be any chance of misinterpretation.
@CVonC: I would expect that shipped locally also equals covered by Australian Consumer Law. ie rewritten to place of purchase for repair, replacement or refund.

Well, had a read and gonna pass on it. Looks like Optus LG Leon at 50$ is my target.
What's wrong with Y550?
Internal storage. Yes I rooted it, use link2sd but still the storage fills up often and Y550 stops syncing. Y550 is still a hell of a phone other than this limitation.
I can hardly understand why someone would make an android phone with less than 2 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage.

misleading title. 99usd coolicool will charge u in usd and it ends up being 145 aud at current exchange rate. not 128.
I got this phone and the device is rooted out of the box but the rom seem doctored, it can automatically install stuff by itself,very annoying, I don't know whether this was done by the seller
General feeling was, the optimisation is off par , Tom feels slow, but otherwise works
The screen is where the device shines, excellent image quality but the rest is so so
Great for the price and it will be a classic in years to come, probably the only phone that the monitor company will ever make
