  • I wish it would be SYD to MSCW at that price.

  • Anything interesting to visit around there?
    Vodka factories? Farming co-operatives etc?

The natural museum is very interesting. Some abnormally large stuffed animals. Visit the old submarine. Eat at the many restaurants. There's a really good hari Krishna restaurant. Casino. Various markets. Some great nightclubs - is a really interesting experience. Open air Karaoke by the sea. Watch a soccer match. Visit the old state run department store and pick up an awesome woolen trenchcoat for very little or the beautiful traditonal lacquer ware and babushka dolls. There are nature trails around the city. If you're lucky there will be a march through the city as a public rally. Drink cheap vodka. Get a soviet style haircut (shaved). Watch the beautiful women (the men are plain). Observe the soviet style block architecture. Watch workmen drinking beer from 2 ltr PET bottles at 1:30. Catch a tram around town. Check out the sailors and the dodgy bars they go to. Try to understand that you're in the first former soviet city that would have been vaporized if USSR had gone to war with the USA.

Be careful with booking through this airline. I tried to get flights last year and after paying, about 15 mins later I got an email saying that one or more of the flights were unavailable so it got cancelled.. It took a few days to get my refund and I ended up losing $100 due to the exchange rate changing!

So I just searched Vladivostok on google map and it is only approx. 250km from my home town in China. I reckon this is good if you want to visit Jilin province in China.

  • Thnx

  • Is it a good deal if i only want to use it as a gateway to Europe and other countries around Russia?
