Nintendo are offering a free download of the artbook for Super Mario Maker!

One of the perks of getting the special edition of the Super Mario Maker release is that gorgeous artbook that showcases the evolution of Mario’s design, from his early days on the NES all the way to the more modern Wii U and 3DS games that have been released in recent years.

Don't forget, the Nintendo WiiU Super Mario Maker game will be released in Australia this (12th September)!

    Thanks for the Super Mario Maker Booklet PDF and price round-up. I can't remember the last time I've been this excited for a new Nintendo game. I think it's going to be fun!

    The booklet has various 4 digit codes assigned to certain images and projects, scattered throughout. Anyone know what these refer to?

      You can enter them into the online manual to watch videos of creations from the development team.

    Thanks OP! Was expecting someone to post this online after the game release, but not before. Will be keeping my physical copy in mint/untouched condition after I buy it. There is some very nice artwork in the book.

    I might trade in Super Smash Brothers for Mario Maker. I got SSB with the Wii U when I bought it second hand and I never even play it.

      The Mario series is one of the most successful ones of all time, and this game provides both a virtually unlimited amount of levels for people to play as well as those that are interested in it the ability to create their own content for sharing. It offers a huge amount of content for anyone that's a fan of 2D platformers.

      I don't get it either. Rom hack tools have been available for a long time, even for NSMB: Wii. If people want to make levels they can do it for free on their computer and play them on their computer or their Wii U or Wii console.
      Though I will say the game presents it all nicely, for what that's worth.

      If they hadn't posted it I wouldn't have seen it (and I am glad they did). I don't think getting information from another website and sharing it here is a problem if it is a bargain. I do however think they could give credit to where the information came from.

      $10 cheaper than the competition, surprisingly!

      and holy crap, i just saw the amiibo and it looks amazing, i think i'm going to buy this not for the games but the extras :D

      i'll probably have to buy the 'modern' coloured version of the same amiibo too.

    Got one from EBGames today. The guy was nice enough to do price match for me, so I got the limited edition for $69.

    Spent hours on it. The game is AMAZING!
