TDK Wireless/Wired Bluetooth/NFC Headphones WR780 $49.95 @ Officeworks

120

Went into officeworks today to see if they had the cheap 3 step ladder for $12. They did not, but I did walk out with a set of bluetooth heaphones.

They sounds pretty good actually, the build quality is quite acceptable and they are really comfy.. but they look ridiculous on my head - they are freaking massive.

A quick search of the usual sites such show this price as being about half the price of other retailers that stock it.

Some good reviews on Amazon - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00LVK5ZVW?ie=UTF8&linkCo…

  • Did you get OK battery life? The 1 officeworks review says:

"Charged up over night and got twenty minutes use out of it before it went dead flat."

Another bad battery review here: http://www.productreview.com.au/p/tdk-wr780.html

That would be a DOA unit and Officeworks would give a refund/replacement.

Mine has been working the last hour with no problems.

I asked the girl at the front desk if I could return then if I just wasn't happy with the sound quality or the fit on my head and she said that would be fine as long as I didn't scratch them up, tear the box up and kept the receipt. So I don't have any worries that if they have a problem that I will be able to return them.

Have you tried the integrated microphone ? Eg : to make a phonecall ? Where is it located ?

Not visiting OzBargain is probably a cheaper alternative for me these days.

Do I need them = no.

Do I want them = maybe.

Now that they're cheaper than normal = let's go !

  • Thanks OP

  • OP (or anyone else),
would you say these are "child friendly"?
ie not too loud, will stay on their head (even if they look rediculous), reasonably rugged?

We have got a big road trip coming up and thinking of upgrading from their $5 elmo ones. Would love to ditch the cables.

Also, would there be any issue with having 2 of these operating right next to each other when each connected to the kids own tablet (identical tablets also)?
