Crayon Physics Deluxe Game: Pay What You Want

390

Hot on the heels of last year's World of Goo offer, Kloonigames are letting users "Pay what they want" for their game, Crayon Physics Deluxe, which means you can offer as little as 1c for the game!

Note: this is the standalone PC version, not iPhone, Steam or Console versions, so you won't get achievements, etc.

Simply make a donation via Paypal, then they will send you a link where you can download it.

Crayon Physics is a quirky and fun game. Very innovating, and every bit as worthwhile as World of Goo. Highly recommended, and the price can't be beat (if you're a cheapskate). For the record, I paid $5.

In case anybody's wondering, the file is 29MB.

FYI its 20 bux on steam…

  • Missed out on World of Goo, but grabbed this one. Cheers.

  • got this for free a while ago

  • Their servers must be getting hammered at the moment. Download is quite slow (5.5kbps)

    • Yup same here, it's timed out on me once already… I'm sure we'll get there in the end.

      • My download finished, only problem is that it is corrupted… I'll download it later on.

        • Firefox said mine had 'finished' but really it had just timed out after downloading 4.4mb.

          :)

paid 1 cent but got charged 2 cents by paypal when converting to aussie dollar!

    • Serves you right for being such a cheapskate! Hahaha…

If there's anything the sales figures of World of Goo has taught us… many people are cheapskates.

come on guys.. if you like the game, at least donate a little more and show some face. A 1 cent donation may actually cost the developer money, since paypal fees have to be taken into account per transaction.

        • Paypal fees? 2.7% of 1c = nothing. Is there a 10c minimum charge with Paypal? Probably.

  • Do you need a tablet PC or a digitizer pad ?

    • A mouse is all you require to play.

though Of course it's a lot more fun on a touchscreen pc

  • Dare I ask how much people "donated" for this software?

  • thanks! donated 1 USD

I was going to donate $1, but for fun i tired 10cents… and 10cents work. i feel so stingy.

  • servers are too busy atm to download but that picture of the rabbit with the pancake on its head is worth the donation price alone.

Little developers like this need supporting. If you can spare $5+, you should. $1 or less is a pretty poor effort.

I run OS X so this game isn't available to me.

I donated $5 per OP's fine example. 75% off steam price, will keep the kids amused for hours.

I can understand people paying only $1 for it, which is probably what i'll pay for it (haven't actually looked at it yet, so not sure what it's worth to me), because i've bought games before and hardly played them. I bought Tony Hawk Undergound 2 for PC for $13, and i never played it.
So i think it depends on how much i like it, and how much i play it as to what it's worth to me. I'd rather pay the minimum so the company still make a profit (30c according to the WOG link) and then make a donation after a month. EDIT: I'll download the demo.

Also, income is a big factor, not just income but disposable income.

  • hi have made my donation can someone please tell me how i can now get access to the program

  • this game is free on many flash/java game websites like www.miniclip.com.

  • I've bought this on my iPhone and it's great fun.

  • donated $1USD as well
    downloaded byt ill install later

  • I just donated $5. It's a good, fun game.

  • I think they will make more money by donations. I just donated after playing the demo and liked it very much.

  • Yay, got game, should have some fun on this with my touch PC.
