    i want to go but then my friends told me that america is dangerous…. homeless everywhere… guns everywhere blah blah blah….. is this really the case?

      Your friends are right, I've been killed there loads of times by homeless people with guns.

      lol yes! absolutely…in fact don't go, please make sure you stay at home, lock all your doors and windows and don't go outside, you might get run over!

      On a serious note, stay away from dark alleys at in the middle of the night and apply general common sense as you do back home, you should be fine.

      You just need to blend in.
      Wear 'I Love NY' t-shirt to show them you are local.
      Bring a map so that you won't get lost.
      Take the narrow alley way to stay clear of the crowd (more crowd = more chance to bump into people = more shooting).

    Iwtf - any views on if cheap flights to London/Europe will be released for nov-dec? A couple of years ago Etihad released some in September for November travel and we got there for $1000 each return on quick direct flights. Fingers crossed something similar may happen again.

    Shame I don't want to go to the U.S. Just yet.

    Any chance of a similar flight period/price from Perth to either SFO LAX or NYC that isn't Etihad? I'd prefer to fly towards the east coast of Australia

    thanks. i need ny flights for feb/march but i dont find it a great deal to make me book now. with aud and off peak season i can get that price even booking a week before hand. could be cheaper to get LA fllights n buy domestic to NY too. around $1k and i may book.
