I got my chair from this deal on Monday. Seems like a great chair and the 150kg rating is handy if I ever have Clive Palmer visit me, good deal.

  • Is this a particularly big chair. How would it fit for a smaller individual? I'm Asian

    • No, not particularly bargainsniper. We have all shapes and sizes here at work and we all sit on them, they're a great chair.

    • Although it has a wider base, there's a slight curve/dip so my a$$ just sinks into it xP I'm petite.

  • great deal. If only I could combine my AMEX with this deal!

  • @cmilnesOM What's the return/refund procedure if I buy this chair, but don't like it? Do I need to pay for return shipping?

    • Hi ddcc

Unfortunately we don't offer Change of Mind refunds on furniture. This, of course doesn't affect any of your rights under Australian Consumer Law. The only thing I'll say is that I am sure you'll like it!! It's a very comfy chair. I have put the link to our refunds/returns section of the website.

      Cheers

I suggest you try to find an Officeworks near you which has it on the floor to try out. My local one did.

  • you're in SA? chance of pickup?

    • No sorry Insular, we aren't set up for pickups. We will have to deliver.

  • I bought this chair a few days ago from OfficeMax and received a defective one upon arrival where the adjustable height of the back rest was stuck.
I contacted the company immediately without removing the paper tags; they didn’t give me a new replacement or a refund when I asked for a refund but handed the responsibility of the faulty chair over to supply (manufacture) warranty to be fixed.
I think that shops have the responsibility to provide customers a perfect product; or give a refund when the product is defective on arrival.

    • It's the shop's responsibility to not give you defective goods. You are entitled to a refund. I went through that with a TV ($2000 worth) and the company also thought they could pass me off to the manufacturer but I spoke with the consumer affairs and they said that I was entitled to a refund for goods delivered that are defective.

      Hi ozh1

Not sure if the person who you spoke to has explained this to you very well at all! I have just spoken to our furniture specialist and we will chase this up straight away and give you a better explanation. Please MSG me and I will give you my details.

Our process is that we lodge the warranty request with the supplier and between us we organize the refund/replacement. This should be done very seamlessly and quickly with minimal inconvenience to you.

We do acknowledge that we are responsible for the products that we sell including any defects/warranty claims etc.

      Cheers

I ordered a chair after your reply. I was a bit wary when I read the initial comment but your follow up showed professionalism. Looking forward to finally having a decent chair.

  • Are tracking details given after the order is sent?

    • Hi Bargain Sniper

There's an Order Confirmation and a Shipping Notice as soon as your order is dispatched, but no live tracking I'm sorry.

All orders are shipped through the team at Australia Post - if it helps you, please feel free to private message me your postcode so I can check and give you an estimate on delivery time to your address - it's usually just a few working days…. and an incredibly comfy chair!

Does that help you/can I answer any other questions for you?

      Cheers

      • I didn't get a shipping notice but when I log into my account on your website it does say 'Order Despatched'. It's OK, I don't need a delivery estimate. Just wanted to know if it was shipped yet.

        • Hi Bargain Sniper

If you'd like to PM me your order number, I'm more than happy to check and let you know.

          Cheers

  • Are the arms removable? I know they are adjustable but sometimes my son wants to practice guitar while sitting in his chair and the arms get in the way.

    • +1

Yes, when assembling no need to attach the arms. :)

  • +1

Hi Knucklehead, Malouphix is right - you can choose not to attach the arms. A lot of people around the offices use the chair without arms as it's their preference.

Thanks for your help, Malouphix - much appreciated!

No problemo, it's a good chair.

  • Hi all Aus post also have it for 260:http://stationery.auspost.com.au/furniture/seating/office-chairs/task-chairs/buro-metro-chair-black-with-arms.html

The reason Iam posting here is my new post got flagged as duplicate. Aus post having it in stock is handy for regional people who only have an office choice and not office max in their area, as they will price match and waiver delivery fee as most areas have an aus post nearby! I got this yesterday from office choice for 247 with price match plus 5% off guarantee.
