  • Where does it say you get a 19" monitor?

I can see the other items with the laptop but no monitor.

    • It says it as part of the specs:

      "Dell(TM) IN1910N 18.5 " Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor"

yea its there mate, if u add to cart, i just had a look. However it seems to be a 18.5 inch screen

    Dell(TM) IN1910N 18.5" Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor

Sounds a bit like false advertising:P

"Sounds a bit like false advertising:P"
    Of course We are DELL.

I wouldn't bother any Dell's advertisement no matter how cheap it advertised. Dell has been engaged in price scam for too many times.

  • GSTFREE, how is this a 'price scam'?

Take a look at the graphics.
Pretty sure it's NOT false advertising. If you suspect it is, save the picture and if dell refuses to honour it you have proof that they have advertised it.

I didn't say this deal is a price scam.

Because Dell has been price-misleading customers for a few times and they didn't work out any proper resolution to compensate customers.

In my opinion, Dell had washed its long-term built repution and thus I wouldn't touch Dell product any more.

  • This is the URL to the page with the deal:

I was refering to the part about the monitor. Dell says 19inch on the picture

    http://i.dell.com/images/ap/topics/microsite/bts_right_180x5…

however its actually a Dell(TM) IN1910N 18.5” Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor

  • It's clear they're referring to 19" as the old 16:10 format when in fact it's only 16:9 @ 18.5" . Just like many 24" monitors are only 23.6", but still people give them a pass. One way around is calling it 19" but in the tech specs saying it's just 18.5" viewable like with the old CRT screens where you magically lost an inch or so.
