The deal however is now twice as good, as it gives you $100 usd off now

  • $100 USD off select hotels of $100 USD or more
  • Have to use MasterPass to check out. I didn't have an account and it was no hassles signing up to one on checkout. The site charges in USD, so use a card such as 28 Degrees/Citibank that does not charge foreign transaction fees.
  • Valid for stays up until the 1st of October. Good for school holiday use I guess.
  • Most major chains are excluded

  • To find participating hotels look for the "PROMO CODE ELIGIBLE". Will be highlighted in green.

  • Taxes and what not are added on to the total.

I have done some dummy bookings and found a hotel that was $106 USD with buffet breakfast included. After the $100 USD off coupon it came to $6 USD. Taxes and fees were $11 which made the booking $17 USD all up. Converted to AUD it was $24 all up. Not bad for an overnight hotel stay plus breakfast for two.

      Thanks for letting me know, makes me feel less bad about missing this sale. Hong kong hotel prices are so bloody expensive for even a room the size of a shoe box! I think i'll have to stay in some less nice places in Thailand and just fork out the dough for a nicer hotel in HK.

    Thanks OP! Just scored a room at Wirrina Cove resort next weekend for approx $28. Very good availability of 'promo code eligible' hotels in Adelaide and surrounds. Great for those looking for something at short notice :)

    EDIT: Miscalculated the exchange rate. Came up as $24 :)

      Yep, I think you can. I have done it for 2 hotels though.

      However, if it is for the same hotel, call them up and ask them to combine the bookings.
      They wouldnt know that you used a promo code, nor do they care, as far as they are concerned they will receive their same payment from Orbitz.

      Please don't abuse the promo. I booked 2 nights and paid for the second night in full. These deals will not appear if people take advantage of them like you suggest.

        Others may have a different opinion, but I don't see it as abuse. There is nothing in the terms and conditions that state the promo code is one use per account.

    Thanks heaps OP. I got an error trying to checkout, it turns out my ad blocker was blocking the masterpass pop up. I turned it off and was able to checkout with masterpass. Got confirmation email, checked with the hotel and they had my booking and payment has been taken from my debit card.

      make sure that you have entered the code before searching sometimes the code gets deleted then it wont show the hotels with promo code eligible

      This was a global promo, so we're probably just a drop in the water. A quick search reveals it's been published on countless worldwide Frequent flyer and bargain websites. Looks like a huge number of people have booked with it. Orbitz has run these in the past, so you'd assume they know what they're getting into :)

    For those curious, I have come back from my first night that I booked with this deal. No issues to report.
    The hotel didn't mention anything about the price I paid, so I doubt they even have that information in front on them.

    Anyways, I hope you guys get as much out of this deal as I did!

      I've also just returned from my stay - absolutely no issues. Now looking forward to my stays on the coming weekend :) Orbitz have run these promos many times in the past, so it's safe to say they know what they are getting into.
