  • The discounts don't really count as it would be the same as buying anything on ebay at average price.

Pick up this one today click and collect for $136 after some research, basically newer and more capacity, http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=141486637823&al…
It has good suction and has an easy to clean filter.

    • these will never compare to a proper vacuum

so for that price, I rather just get a cheap $20 one from aldi.

      • Have you seen a demo of these? The suction is really powerful and there is a market for good hand vacs, you wouldn't dare write this on the Dyson threads now would you and compare them to the Aldi hand vac

        • Got sucked into buying a hand vac many years ago, absolute waste compared to the Dyson stick vac I just bought.

        • @Gusper: There's a 4x price difference, and based on reviews these B&Ds are on par if doing small, quick, cleans.
Albeit I'm still wondering if I really need one, just the wife harassing me about one.

        • @crazylegs03:

I wouldn't waste that much money on a hand vac, that won't be doing much other than small odd cleanups like crumbs, minor spot cleanup etc..

I got an aldi one for about $20 that does the job just as good.

        • No..

          But even if I did,

If I need to do proper full cleaning then I would just use my normal vacuum.

        • @Gusper:

          Got sucked into

          Nice punning.

        • They are handy for small messes that the kids make - crumbs, beados, dry play doh, etc. Have got the 12V B&D, but got the MIL the 18V one when it was $80ish a while ago and it's much stronger.
The Miele comes out when they leave a trail of cereal after breakfast.

        • @strangeloops66:
Thanks for noticing. I was going to point this out but I thought it would be interesting to see if the Dyson hate over rides actual consumer feedback.

I have one of these and they are great for minor clean ups, don't listen to the Dyson fanatics if you need something to do minor clean ups after kids and the like this is great, do not buy the nicad version as that is rubbish, as I had this version and it broke after a year and then I got sent this version as a replacement and very happy. Some people don't want to spend $400+ on a hand vac.
