      ouch, me too. Anyone have any experiences getting Groupon to refund the difference? Or would I just have to cancel my voucher and buy a new one?

        You can ask for a refund using "live chat" within 7 days of purchase for any reason.

    If anyone's after recommendations…

    $9 all you can eat tacos - They're on the floury side but still good. Service isn't good if you're on a deal though http://www.groupon.com.au/deals/melbourne/maya-tequila-bar-gā€¦

    $25 bread bowl + OJ for two - We have been here, very good food. Only buy this if you're a morning/brunch person. If not you'll never get there. Kitchen closes 2pm.

    Haven't used Groupon or similar sites for years.. always felt like a second class citizen when dining at the restaurants.

    The only exception is Kobe Jones, where it was actually a pleasant experience.

      That would be a national, not local deal like a local restaurant, local attraction, etc.

      If it doesn't list location, it's not local.

      hey twodollah just check that you're actually using the code on a 'local' deal. The local deals are those that appear as pins on the map of your city (from my understanding), it should be a significantly reduced number of available deals as a result

        Tried on a number of deals - code is accepted but when you try to pay it is rejected. Maybe Groupon have pulled it.

          @twodollah:

          Hey guys, when you open groupon.com.au at the top it will have highlighted 'local', on the right hand side of the page will be the different categories of deals i.e. Dining. Click on your chosen category.

          It will then take you to a page with a map of your city. On the left hand side of that map there will be a category of Local Deals and the map will show the location pins of each of those local deals.

          From what I understand it is only those deals pinned on that map (with the location pin makers) under the category of local deals that will allow for the use of the coupon.

          I doubt any of this makes sense but I've done my best!
