unless you can travel back in time, your comment is irrelevant.

Also good fares SYD to Singapore $738 & Shanghai $788. Same dates
These should be on the new A330-300 fittout. Which is outstanding.

There is also $2998 bus class fares to Singapore mid-oct to January avail. These should be in the bus suites.
EDIT: no it's on the A330-200 (QF5/6), which is the old skybeds, still pretty good for 3k IMO

      Thanks Chook. Title updated :)

"New" fit-outs of any aircraft don't mean that much when you're taking economy class!

      • +3

Have you flown the new a330-300? It's best economy I've ever experienced. No, i didn't neg you.

What's the best way to Taiwan? via HK with qantas?

    • the leg from hkg to tpe will be flying CX I think.

    • Easier with China airlines and EVA, as they do direct. Wouldn't be as cheap as this though.

  • mmm temping to go HK

  • The same $738 fares to Singapore are also available via Emirates.com (ex-BNE/MEL), with the added benefit of no credit card or booking fees.

  • Per- Sin return $498
    Per- Kul return $548

Remember, if you use an Amex card to pay, you can get extra 50$ off.

And if you buy Qantas voucher before buying the ticket, you can get CC fee waived.

If you have multiple Amex cards, you can buy the voucher with one card, and pay the remainder with another card, for a total of ~130$ saving.

    • That's a cool idea, would bank issued Amex work for this?

Also are there any stackable discounts with the vouchers? eg. cashback etc

      • I believe the 50$ cashback offer works for registered bank-issued Amex (I registered mine today, haven't tried). You should check the terms and conditions to be extra sure..

        • bet you are correct in regards with bank issued Amex. As I am only able to register for my Commbank Amex but not the other Amex issued one.

        • @gotcha:
That's strange I tried to register my cba amex (with 16 digits card no.), but the AMEX website only allowed 15…

        • @homersyd:

can't be. You sure about your cba amex is 16 digits? my cba one is 15. you are not using the cba mastercard number, are you?

        • @gotcha: OMG!!! hahahah I that's exactly what I did, I was thinking WTF?! lol nevermind, I just didnt pay attention :) Thanks

        • just noticed the offer popped out on my Amex issued Amex card account today (trust me, it was not there yesterday) which I registered.
now with 2 cards registered, time to get $100 off the already cheap airfare ($688 Shanghai return sounds good, although these sale fares would not allow classic upgrade to business class)

    • You got the link to buy the Qantas vouchers?

    • Are multiple vouchers able to be used on a single booking, so if I have 3 amex cards and I purchased 3 x $350 vouchers, can I used all of them in one booking?

      • I believe you can only use one voucher at a time. They can't be stacked.

    • If u buy vouchers with amex then buy ticket are you still covered for ur trip with travel insurance?

      • Use ANZ card (only need to spend 250$ to commence coverage) or commbank card (only need to declare your travel online).

  • Does anyone know how I can do stop overs with Qantas website booking other than going to a travel agent?

    • Use the multicity booking tool. It's on the web site.

  • I need this for Perth :(

  • Are the protests still happening in HK?

    • hahaha it ended exactly 1yr ago

HKD is pegged to USD. With AUD now at such a low level and going lower against USD, It makes these Overseas Trips all more expensive.

  • Does it matter if i buy a $350 voucher for 1 passenger but use it for a booking with 2 passengers? What is the purpose for stating the number of passengers on the voucher?
