it's an Australian seller so they should be charging GST, no mention of it in the ebay/paypal confirmation though.

      • Item location:
        Taiwan, Taiwan

        • -1

Yes, but the seller and whom the money was paid to is a GST registered Australian company: http://abr.business.gov.au/SearchByAbn.aspx?abn=49158562362

The fact they are directly shipping it from Taiwan makes no difference to us buyers.

        • -1

@CheapBrah: It depends, it's not conclusive if their PayPal company is buying the stock from their HK/Taiwan entity thereby writing the GST payable off.

        • -1

@machej: I would imagine that since we are buying from the Australian entity it doesn't matter. Anyway I sent them a message on ebay and hopefully hear back soon.

      • Kogan is an Australian seller, but when you buy phones off them theres no GST.

This seller might have a similar setup like Kogan

        • Definetely. Otherwise how can they can have the lowest price?

      • stuff GST!

    • how long normally the cash reward pay to your account after made the purchase?

  • +2

Thanks OP! At this price, I don't think it's worth waiting for the new Nexus 5. Having only used nexus phones for the last 3 years, it's going to be a new experience…

  • Warranty redeemable in Sydney. All models appear to be in stock at the time of this post. Bought. Thanks Op.

    • +1

Does anyone know, because the company we have bought from is actually an Australian entity (see my post above, paypal payment is too an Australian company), does that mean they still are subject to the Australian Consumer Laws which would basically give us a longer warranty?

It probably makes no difference since I doubt they would comply, just interested to know.

      • +3

Your invouce will be issued by a foreign company, end of story.

        • This sounds correct, technically they would be hiring the services of their Australian entity to do the repairs.

        • Thanks.

    • Are you sure about that, on their page it says "Mobiles / Tablets / Laptops will have to be returned to overseas warehouse for service."

      • +2

        From the listing:

12 months local store warranty in Australia
Items can be returned to Sydney for repair services for your peace of mind

        • Didn't notice that, thanks.

        • I think what that means is… You can return the item to their Sydney address, and they'll send it to where the item originally came from to be repaired.

  • This is an amazing price. I got one just to see how it compares to my note 4. Worse case I'm sure I can resell for similar price. If it's a lot better I'll replace my note 4 with it.

    • I'm tempted to do the same with my recently acquired 2nd hand Note 4.
The Note 4 has multitasking, and it's great when it works (for the few apps that support it).
However, touchwiz is still pretty bad on the N4, and the N4 does lag a bit still.

      • Yeah 5.1.1 is supposed to improve things with Samsung and is due out next week. The G4 also has multitasking as well, but supports less apps than touchwiz.

    • Can you actually sell your note for that much? Im getting offers of like 400 on gumtree.

      • Monster mobile will give you $420 if its still in new condition. Should get more selling privately. I guess it varies on the condition of your phone and whether you kept the box and accessories. Also if you installed custom roms and voided warranty.

        • Fair enough. I probably would not describe my note as being in new condition.

  • Awesome price, thanks OP

Bought the red one + Quick Circle case (with QI Wireless), QI Wireless Charging Pad, Tempered Glass and an Extra Battery. Looking forward to getting this phone! (That is, at least until "Buyer's Remorse" kicks in..)

    • +1

ive got this non-genuine quickcircle case + generic qi charging pad combo - it does not work - waste of money (really need at least the original qi charger and quickcircle case for it to work properly and reliably).

otherwise cant go wrong with the tempered glass screen protector and extra battery (although again, im not sure why you picked such expensive ones, the one I bought was $4 inc shipping off eBay from an aussie seller and its been fantastic).

      • +1

Yeah, I figured the case might be a cheap and nasty, but for the price I wanted to check it out anyway. The QI Wireless Station has a few different coils in it for different positioning, so I'm hoping that one does the job right. If not, there's a way to put wireless charging in the original back that came with the phone, so I'm not too worried.

I went the expensive one as it was a genuine LG. I didn't know too much about the other batteries and the last thing I want is a cheap battery exploding in my pocket. $500 is a lot (for me) to spend on a phone, so I don't want to ruin it with a cheap battery. :)

        • I dont know about you, but I think i'd have a much more serious concern if the cheap battery exploded in my pocket ;P
          ….and it's not the phone :)

    • I don't get why people bought a case for this LG G4
We use it because of smooth leather back feeling

      P.S:
Do you reckon we also need to buy Quick Charge 2 Power plug?
I heard LG G4 QUick Charge 2 isn't as quick as other Quick Charge phone

      • Personally I didn't want the leather one - I'd rather get the plastic back with a dBrand skin (customization and fit FTW). Leather looks good, but people are having issues where it it starting to peel. Regardless, if the wireless charging works alright then that is a good enough reason for the QuickCircle case for me :) Each to their own though, its your phone - personalize it how ever you want! :D

The QC2.0 is equivalent to the Rapid Charger in the Samsung S6. I didn't order one with my LG, but depending on my usage I might order one if I feel I could use a quick boost in battery. I ordered a spare battery anyway so that might not be necessary.

Purchased this phone via QD about 10 days ago when it was $559. Arrived 7 days after purchase. Got a tracking number for DHL about 48-72 hours after purchasing.
Loving the phone so far - the display is excellent and for its size it seems quite light weight wise.

    • How is the camera as compared to Galaxy S6?

      • No idea sorry - never played with an S6 - but the camera on the G4 is awesome!

  • +1

Bought it from the same guy when it was $578 about a month or so ago.
I would have waited if I know that the price would come down this fast. Two issues with my phone:
    Contact/call-log crashes
    SMS crashes

They happens several times now. I want to root it, but will wait to see if those crashes are not serious that I have to return the phone for repair.

    • Have you updated to the latest OS? Have you to reset to default?

      • Updated. But have not done factory-reset.

    • I had these issues with the 2nd Nexus phone. Turns out it was my sim card!

    • Price has dropped to only $539, eBay sale is why it's cheap for a limited time. I also bought for about $590 from a different Hong Kong seller a month or so ago. I don't have any of the problems you've mentioned, perhaps you have a conflict with a 3rd party app?

    • I've had extremely slow/crashy contact listing with my S4 - turned out to be because of some linking with Google (I keep contacts on phone only) - I had some 15000 contacts including duplicates Google scraped from every email I've ever received. Had to go into Gmail and merge all of them.

  • Just got one…however the pay pal transaction is saying its taken the $539 amount but the ebay invoice is saying $458…..i hope i dont get charged the full amount….anyone else had this????

    • +3

Everytime there's a sale this question gets asked…. Click more/further details In your PayPal account for this transaction and you will see that the discount has been applied

    • my papypal transaction says $458.15 AUD

  • Can anyone tell if this phone has IR remote feature ie I can use it as a remote control for my smart TV.

    • +1

Yes this phone has an IR blaster.

    • +1

Yeah the G4 has IR Blaster.

Edit: Beaten by 4 secs. :D

      • However I wonder G4 has better range than G3 with its IR?

        • Use Peel Smart Remote apk with it. Love it.

      • So the G3/G4 & S5 are the only recent phones that have this feature?

        • +1

The HTC One series have ir blaster as well.

  • +1

Can anyone recommend quick charger plug?

    • Tronsmart

  • any recommendations on a good case for this phone would be appreciated.

  • Anyone knows if the seller dispatches via DHL?

    • Look up in the comments section. Confirmed DHL.

      • That's good to know. Thanks

  • +1

    Couldnt resist this finally.

    Bought. Thanksss eBay and OP.

  • OK I surrendered. Just bought this. Also waiting for the $50 voucher to arrive for case and accessories from last promotion. Just too tempting…

  • -1

can someone please confirm the cashback rewards will work for this deal? somewhere i recall reading cashrewards does not work when you use coupons which are not listed on their site?

    • It is listed on their website.

      • Thanks! but Crap! were u meant to activate the cashrewards before purchasing? hope not lol

        • Hahaha… In the hurry I did the same… Joined CR but did not activate before buying.

        • You have to click the link to ebay from cashrewards site.

  • Wow! a damn good price for such an awesome phone. Very happy with mine.

    • Hey.. how is the camera as compared to S6 in full daylight and and evening?

      • +4

What are the chances that @bargania has an S6 and G4?

        • @bargania definately has G4 and would be able to shed some light on camera quality.

It is considered second to S6 so hopefully he can tell if he is happy with it or regret not having S6 :)

    • How is the battery life on this? G3 battery was really poor. I had to return it. Maybe my unit was faulty.

  • I missed out last deal from Kogan $499, and now got this one for good. Thanks OP.

    • what if Kogan comes up in the morning with a better deal on this?

      • Asked to cancel my Kogan one, ($499) ebay seller QD-AU has a good reputation. Kogan still not dispatched after purchase on 15th

        • +1

          To be honest Kogan sucks

      • Are you serious? Kogan will probably increase the price to take advantage of the 15% off, if anything.

  • Thanks op

  • Is this worth upgrading to from a G Flex 2

    • +1

I think not, they are very similar phones from what I can tell.

    • That is the same question I ask myself, G Flex 2 used OLED display but FHD, G4 used LCD but QHD display. I add to cart but did not end up buying, waiting for a deal on Note 5 to replace my Note 3.

  • Great deal, thanks OP.

Any advice on a micro SD card to go with this? Looking at this one

  • +3

I have not used an S6; however, I am more than happy with the G4 camera and how it operates in all lighting situations. The removable battery and expandable memory make the G4 the complete package for my needs and likes in a phone.

    • Thanks mate. While there are online reviews available, it is always good to know from person using it.

  • +1

Does anyone know if Monster Mobile buys grey imports? I desperately need a new phone - was waiting for the new iphone 6s plus in rose gold but it's out of stock. Think I'll get this for about 6 months to get me by then sell it off if Monster Mobile buys grey imports - right now they offer $350 - $450 for this phone!

    • +1

Do you think they will still be offering $350-$450 for this phone in 6 months?

    • Here is a tip. Try to reserve the iphone in store. Check regularly throughout the day and they usually come back in stock. You have to be quick though.

    • Personally if I was intending on buying an iPhone, I'd get it as soon as possible. It's not like a Samsung phone or most other Android phones where after 6 months from release it'll have lost 1/3rd it's value. There's really little benefit in waiting with Apple products. I saw this review from the verge (considered pro Apple website) comparing the camera of the G4,S6 and 6s+. It's surprised me that the verge claims the camera's are all pretty much even, which is a huge compliment to the G4 considering it price point and how old it is now. :)

      http://www.theverge.com/2015/9/25/9397055/best-smartphone-ca…

    • YES, they do buy grey imports.

  • -2

Hey guys, i bought G4 from Kogan from last deal and phone was faulty. So I returened it to get a refund. What are the chances of getting a refund from Kogan? I just used it for 2 weeks.

    • +3

Why dont you ask kogan or paypal instead?

    • What was wrong with it ? Unlikely they will refund probably repair or replace

  • +1

I wish the metallic grey was available…

    • -1

each of these will include the metallic grey/gold back cover in the box (the black leather will come with metallic grey - the red and brown ones will come with metallic gold). mine did (beige leather H815T from T-dimension - came with a gold back case too, which is what im currently using).

      • +1

The one you bought is a different model to this

        • -1

only difference is the extra band. retail package is the same.

        • +1

@xyron: how can you be so sure about it. They are for different regions, so might be different.

        • +1

@OzSikhs: how many LG G4s have you bought? you can't be any more sure than me. look at the myriad of reports of people unboxing LG G4s around the world, they all include the quadbeat headphones and the original plastic cover (where a leather cover is also included).

        • @OzSikhs: Here's an unboxing video of leather H815 on youtube (1:02), came with a plastic cover and earphones.

        • @iChopstick: thanks for the video link.

        • @xyron: I bought one from this deal. And yes I didn't know about it. Hence the reason I asked you. Take it easy man.

        • +1

@OzSikhs: I stand corrected. Looks like we don't get the extra cover after all. Guess there are multiple retail version of H815.

        • @iChopstick: did you neg my comment ??
