  • Shipping is the killer. Please add to title. Does this work with PS2?

    • yep should work with ps2. same hardware for both ps2 and ps3.

  • -1

    is this available in store?

    • apparently, yes.

I called one of the stores in the ACT, which incidentally was the only one that had any left in the ACT and got it for $9.99.

  • Very good deal. Looks like it's only available online.

The Wireless Guitar was also $9.99 but I think I just nabbed the last one.

  • I just called JB. No stock available in any QLD store, unsure about other states. These things make great midi controllers for anyone who has a DAW and likes to tap out beats. I'm going to grab another 2 to build a monster drum kit.

    • I think I'll give the MIDI thing a go too.

  • Bugger - I need a bass guitar!!!

  • How come Guitar Hero equipment isn't as cheap as Rock Band equipment?

    • Rock Band has really never sold — at all.

  • Wait so this definitely works for PS2 also?

    • affirmitive

  • Just got both the drums and guitar for $40.44!! Woohoo!

  • How did you get the guitar - it's been out of stock for over an hour!!

    • Yes it works with PS2

Why is RB cheaper than GH?? Why is Sony more expensive than Teac?? Mainly the name

  • You can still purchased the item, they are just out of stock

Might have to wait but it's cheap!!

Add lego rockband for $38 at Game online and ur done :-)

  • This model is a clearance though. the line is discontinued - unless they find some out back?? It's Possible I guess

  • Gotta be in to win :-)

  • Awesome. I'll mod mine for MIDI and hook it up to Garageband.

    • How do you mod it in for midi and hook it to garageband ?

  • Do they lag on HD TV's? .. much like Guitar Hero

    • Any lag experienced can be modified in game. Lag happened out of the box with Rock Band on my plasma, but Guitar Hero didn't need any adjustment.

  • There are 9 of these in stock in stores around Australia (including 2 in Canberra). Unfortunately I already have a set.

    • how can you tell if these are in stock in stores?

  • I got a set of drums….were out of guitars. I orders one anyway, might get one when they get new stock.

if you're after the guitar link here it is: http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/game/ps3/rockband-wireless-gu…

  • I ordered a 360 guitar a few weeks back, haven't heard anything since. Anyone know what's going on? If they can't complete the order wouldn't they give me a refund?

    • They haven't actually charged you anything yet though, so nothing to refund.
What they do is tell the bank/paypal to put the funds on hold. The funds haven't left your account, so it's not accruing interest on the credit card and it will just be 'pending' if you used paypal.
Unless of course you can pay via bpay/Bank deposit? I didn't look too closely so I'm not sure if it's an option or not?

I ordered a guitar and funds have been placed on hold, doubt I'll get one but worth a shot.

      • I ordered guitar and drums after the guitar was sold out. Order has gone from pending to ordered. Not sure what that means as I haven't purchased from jb online before

  • Bargain.

Ordered some drums, see when/if they get here :p

  • Has anyone attempted to get anywhere else to price match this deal? any luck?

  • Very nice price! Absolute bargain

Guitar Hero kit is a LOT better though - better rebound and velocity sensitive so it's better as an electronic kit on the PC. :)

    • Apart from the fact that if you hit them any harder than a tickle, they'll break.
Guitar hero drums are good, but only when they are working which isn't a lot of the time.
RB drums are basic, but built solid.

      • There were 2 generations of the GHWT drum kit…the second gen is heaps better.

  • I ordered some drums from JB Online and waited about two weeks, i then sent an email to see when i might get them and they said the supplier no longer stocks them so i won't be recieveing my order.

    • In that case you would think they'd cancel all the pending orders instead of placing a hold on funds while they attempt to source stock they will never get.
From the sounds of it anyone with a pending order and want to free their funds again might as well contact JB to cancel their order.

  • JB just canceled my order for the drums and guitar. Ordered it on 16 Jan.

    ORDERED ITEM(S)

    SKU: SYD0HW05865
    Item: ROCKBAND DRUMS
Availability: Sorry, this item no longer available from selected supplier **.
    CURRENT STATUS: DELETED from order

    SKU: SYG0HW05865
    Item: ROCKBAND WIRELESS GUITAR
Availability: Sorry, this item no longer available from selected supplier **.
    CURRENT STATUS: DELETED from order

Unfortunately we are no longer able to supply the above item(s) marked "Deleted" in your order. All items are offered for sale in good faith based on current supplier catalogues, but occasionally items can become unavailable.

    • I just got the exact same thing… both items deleted from order.

This is very annoying considering both items were "In Stock" when I bought them.. I would've been among the very first to jump on this offer too (20 minutes after posted).

  • They also cancelled mine due to stock availablity. I ordered about an hour after the deal was posted so i'm guessing not many, if any people will get theirs.

Bad news is a really need a couple of sets. Anyone seen them for a decent price?

  • I missed out too and i ordered before i posted! fail

  • I thought I'd call JB Online to see why this happened.

"For phone assistance, please call 1300 665 425 during business hours. Please have your order number handy if applicable."

I've called a few times over the last 30 minutes… the phone just keeps ringing. Twice I got the message bank.

    Blegh.

    • It probably happened because (like most brick & mortar stores), they lack a proper database and don't keep current stock on hand sync'd. I'd imagine it may take anywhere from a few hours to a few days for orders to sync with current SOH levels… hence the discrepancies. As to why it took so long to notify you all, I have no idea — just poor form on their behalf.

There's really no way that you'll be able to get this order fulfilled though as RB has been discontinued from all buyers for quite some time.

  • Pricing error perhaps? Or is that the going rate nowadays?

    • Nope, just clearance stock.

  • I'm going to neg this because aren't fulfilling orders.

  • Mine were both canceled, not happy. Is there any recourse for this??

    • If the funds were just "pending", then no. If you paid via direct bank deposit, and the funds were in their account, then a contract has been made for this product and they can't just refund you to get out of it - legally. You can talk to consumer affairs although, as per usual, it's unlikely anything will come to fruition.

  • Yeah same here. Not cool. I order a copy of Lego Rockband from Game which arrived today….WTF am I gonna do with that LOL!!

    • You went out on a limb when trying to snag these instruments when half was listed as out of stock (and it's obvious from all the recent sales these were clearance), yet you continued to push it by buying a game that you can't play without them??
Sorry for sounding like a prick here but you can't put that on JB, you really brought that upon yourself. :)

      • I went out on a limb with the guitar I agree but the drum were instock for 4 days after I placed my order so yes it is JB's fault for such a p*ss poor online website. There is no reason large companys like JB cannot provide a website that reflect actual stock levels, and that goes to any other company (game).

Anyway on a side note I took Lego rockband I got from game for 38 back to kmart for a nice $90 credit

        REFUND WIN!!

        • Nicely done, but I have to ask for curiosity sake, how'd you manage that with no kmart reciept??
Is that they do, give store credit if you just tell them you bought it but no longer want it and can't find the reciept?
What about their secuirity sticker they place on their games and DVDs?

          • @2023: Good question. They didnt really seem that concerned but yes they only give store cred but you cant complain.

Also Kmart stores all their games (as in the disc) behind the counter, well atleast at my Kmart they do so I dont believe there is any sec sticker.

            • @britta: Well I did something similar. I bought the drums as well as Beatles Rock Band. When I ordered the drums they were in stock and the game wasn't, then I get a 'deleted' on my drums and the game's been ordered, so I've e-mailed them and I'll give them a call today to see if I can get a refund on my order before they send the game to me. It's like ordering a Blu-ray player and some Blu-ray discs, then the machine doesn't come. What am I gonna do with these discs?
I was pretty pissed off this happened, but as long as I get my cash back, I'll be happy.
