This is really a best buy item is 750mL not 700mL.

Grey Goose is crafted in the legendary tradition of the Cognac region, under the watchful eye of the Maitre de Chai (or Master of the Cellar), who uses a proprietary five step distillation process to transform fine French wheat and pure artesian spring water into the World’s Best Tasting Vodka. Grey Goose claim to make the “World’s best tasting vodka”.

    What is the price?
Edit: Found it. It's cheaper per litre at Uncle Dan https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_724017/grey-goose-v… which is a fair comparison if your argument is buy my 50mL larger bottle as it's cheaper to buy more.

    • Hi, Thanks for your comment. Please note that "Uncle Dan's" 1L price is $1.72 more expensive when compared to our 750ml. Request you to please recalculate!

Your post just had $5 discount and the link (plus the code). Going to the link the price came up as $54.99.

It was understandable to take it that the $54.99 was your discounted price, since you hadn't advised otherwise.

Now that the mods have edited the post is clearer, but I expect that's how the calculation above came about.

It's $74.95 delivered for the litre from Dan's whereas a litre with your delivery would be more like $77.32 by my maths.

Yes, Dan's is the equivalent of $56.9625 for 750ml, versus $79.99 from Cambridge Cellars.

          Subtotal $54.99

Anyone got any recommendations for a great vodka at a reasonable price?

I watched a show where they filtered a cheap vodka through one of those water filter jugs a few times and with blind tests people preferr\ed the cheap vodka over the high end ones.

      • So it's all about the filtration?

        Triple-filtered = actually a good thing?

        • Yup, they say it removes the congeners (impurities) that partially contribute to hangovers.

        • @Bunnyburger: Well that would mean that all properly-filtered vodkas would taste pretty much like pure alcohol, right?

        • @jazoom: Haha yeah…it's mostly marketing. Unless you're some kinda expert, the trace minerals in water can affect taste and mouthfeel a bit.

        • @Bunnyburger: Good to know. Thanks. I was thinking of buying some vodka tonight but decided to look into brands a bit more since it's expensive stuff.

        • The show I was watching had vodkas filtered up to 23 times. I got the feeling that the triple filtered sounds good for marketing but in reality it's pretty low end.

        • @madreece: O_o

    • I enjoy (especially after a few) drink Grey Goose or Kettle One on ice - both can generally be found at a decent price (like the $60/L costco Grey Goose). I keep the smirnoff for mixers.

    It's $60pl at costco.

    • No Costco in WA unfortunately.
