Looked around at the other "SONY Mini Muteki GTKX1BT" price range, staticice shows $377 at officeworks.

Gum-tree around $300 used.

So im thinking this is a good deal for pickup

    Hi Ozzz. I think its because our low Aussie $. This speaker was at retail price for just $399 a few months ago, but now is jacked up to $499. The cheapest I ever saw it was at $319. I almost bought it. I plan to buy it if it ever drop down to a similar price.
