Logitech T650 Wireless Rechargeable Touchpad $20.97 @ Harvey Norman

210

A pretty popular product that is often posted; today is the cheapest price the T650 has been. (why someone would want to use a touchpad over a mouse I'll never know)

But of course, there is little stock. Good luck finding stock near you.

Cheers and have a good night.

Don't need it, but will probably buy it. Pinch and zoom is useful.

  • I would imagine it would be fairly useful in Photoshop wouldn't it? Being able to use pinch for zoom and multitouch rotate would be alright.

For $21 it's probably worth finding out the hard way.

This is far worse than the Magic Trackpad that's available on the Mac. A lot of apps don't support decent (read: smooth) pinch to zoom, and there's no smartzoom (i.e., double tap to zoom into text).

Folks, just be aware that it seems that Logitech have discontinued the product and latest posts I've read suggest it's not fully compatible with Windows 10 - and it's unclear if Logitech are going to release an update to give it the full feature set in the new OS.

Please, why don't you verify details from "posts I've read" before spreading misinformation? Logitech drivers for Windows 10 are on Logitech support page here: http://support.logitech.com/product/touchpad-t650

Because I would have missed out on meeting you Derek ;)

In all seriousness, it's still buggy on W10 and has been discontinued for a reason.

Thanks for the link. Definitely update your setpoint software.

          Nice meeting you fookos!

  • What are some orher useful uses for this apart from the photoshop thing?

    • There are apps out there that turn touchpad output into midi controller data, though i have no experience with this exact device.

    • Using several different devices during the course of your working day can be beneficial from an ergonomic perspective - in my office I have a Microsoft Sculpt keyboard and mouse, a Mac magic trackpad, and at home I have a Wacom Intuous Touch.

Had RSI issues when I was younger (I'm a graphic designer and web developer). Not an issue for me anymore, plus I've learned to be ambidextrous. :)

  • I have one that I use in the lounge as it is silent, I have a love hate relationship the gestures are great especially the back one, but if you touch it too far from the center area it automatically turns your click into a right click.
It is totally stable in Win 10.

  • I own one and generally this pad has issues with wifi interference, it gets unstable and cursor jumpy most of the time. Because of that, usage experience kinda borg down, not as fluid as Apple Magic Trackpad, if only it comes with Bluetooth, there might be hope…

    • Strange I have never had that issue and there is so much wifi on my desk including a router less than a meter away.

  • I bought one before for my MacBook Pro then return it second day, it only support the Mac defined gestures but not the one you defined in better touch tool, so if you plan to use it for Mac and using better touch tool then it won't works!

  • "why someone would want to use a touchpad over a mouse I'll never know"

They are less hassle than a mouse on public transport, in a car, casting media to the TV when bed-bound or other situations where it's ` bring your own flat surface'. They are a boon for arthritic elderly and others with factors meaning fingers can be used, but a mouse can't be gripped or position with the same accuracy.
Min is OK in Windows 10 now - the slight glitch while it rolled and unrolled through the now compulsory " we'll look after that driver for you despite our past and recent record " hubris of Microsoft was one of the least painful affects of allow their final fling near my systems:-(
