Logitech Z906 Speakers $315 @ MSY

90

MSY is offering the Z906 for $315. The same speakers are $377 at Officeworks, so with a pricematch and 5% off, this will turn out to be $299.25. Decent price!

    Price matching isn't a deal/bargain. If anything, it should be listed as a bargain from MSY (with the MSY price), and a mention of Officeworks in the description. Officeworks will likely adjust their pricing and it won't be a bargain from Officeworks anymore…

    Can confirm. They change their prices at least three times during the day (beginning, mid-day and afternoon). They monitor very closely to their main competitors' prices (eg. JB Hi-Fi, Dick Smith, Harvey Norman).

    However, I think it is unlikely that they'll change their price to match MSY. Most of their customers probably don't know about MSY, so they're better off keeping their price higher.

      not to mention some stores don't like price matching a MSY….

        Some stores? If your refering to some office-works stores refusing to pricematch then you can simply remind them that they advertise the pricematching policy via TV, papers, online..

        One manager in the past hesitated to pricematch comming up with any excuse. My solution was simple; pulled out my phone, dialed headoffice right infront of his face which at that point he had no more hesitation to pricematching.

        • Yea, unfortunately not everyone are consistently trained with price matching.

          In general, it's fine as long as the item is/has:
          - Australian stock;
          - from an Australian business;
          - non-grey import identical warrenty;
          - the exact model and colour;
          - in stock;
          - offered to everyone for the same price;
          - obtained by using coupon/codes;

          The first three criteria are really store dependent and the rest are dependent on the item. This means MSY is perfectly fine while Kogan is not (grey import, non-identical warranties).

        • @ronnknee:
          - obtained by using coupon/codes;

          some store refused as long as they saw coupon/codes needed to be entered.

        • @davidl2: Sorry, I meant to say "NOT obtained by using coupon/codes".
