  • i prefer the ones at officeworks that have been for sale at 50 cents…

    • They are Bic four pens aswell? Or the no brand ones?

      • The are office works ones, not Bic, clear platic in blue and red… in the bargain bins.
I've seem them there is 3 stores in Melbourne over the last couple of months…

it appears some of you out there think that finding a better bargain for you is worth a negative vote…

Yay! Take the lid off and do really cool patterns!

  • It's really a good deal…It is $1.5 each in Coles this week…I though it was cheap enough…

    Here you go…

    2 x four colour pens for 21 cents !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/products/Office-Supplieā€¦

    that's 10.5 cents per pen… :P

    • Plus the $4.95 handling fee, though - and another ~$5 if you get it sent direct rather than pick up from the nearest store.

      • that's only if you order online… if your local officeworks has stock, they'll be at the bargain bin near the registers…

        • Sure, i just responding to your link. It says 'Online only'. The 50cent thing you mentioned is fine, but this particular deal for the 2 for 21 cents can never actually be that cheap (bar them matching in store) unless you're buying them as a side bit on a larger officeworks order or something (and hence have those costs irrespective) because of the handling costs.

  • good deal i paid $7 for one beginning of year at newsagency

    • was it gold plated ???

Never buy stationary from a newsagent unless you're desperate.

      • Words of wisdom.

I'm often standing still when I buy stuff at a newsagency, including stationery :)

Smart alec comments aside, I'm not fond of these BIC 4-colour pens. The tip is wobbly so writing comfort is poor, and they tend to dry out if left unused sooner than better quality retractables.

        • start of uni; 1st day; was late, was desperate indeed.

just shows how much they rip you off.

  • Australia - the lucky country - where we can debate the pros and cons of the mechanical quality of the tip of a $1.25 pen.

    • it's only a $1 !!!

      • this is actually quite a good pen, it sometimes depends on the quality of paper you're using or if there's paper/book underneath where your writing on, this drastically changes things in my opinion and people usually judge differently on quality of pens when it's the paper really. Works very smooth on notepads with sufficient pages underneath. As for drying out, I never seem to find these pens (4/6-Col.) drying out, only sometimes the other bic pens.
