  • What are the best AE cards options?

  • The only Country Road deal I see is spend $100 and get $25 credit.

    • +1

Strange… I got the deals off my Amex account, I can't see it in Amex Connect either… sorry to disappoint.

      • +1

Obviously $50 credit would be nice but $25 credit is good enough for me! Thanks for posting the deal!

      • Same here.

    • I got $150/$50 but my wife's supp card only got $100/$25.

    • +1

Comes up as 50 back for me
It might depend on the card. I have the velocity platinum

      • I have an ANZ AMEX

  • The Presto deal is showing for me. I'm just not sure how you spend $29.98 when the highest plan is $14.99/month.

    • +3

      TWO MONTHS:
one or more transactions online only at Presto, between 13/10/15 and 13/01/16 to receive one $29.98 credit.

    • Yeah i had a similar issue with Netflix deal. You had to spend $15 which was the highest package deal AND they were giving first month free, so my deal expired before I got charged haha

      • Well there's enough time between now and mid-Jan 2016 for 3 months worth of Presto.

But can you cancel at any time, or do you go into contract?

      • +1

        You can cancel anytime.

why do people bother buying Country Road? I never find there's any bargain there, and many other brands have similar or better quality for equal or less price

    • I have never bought anything from them… but they have a couple of specials on now, and stacking the in-store discounts with Amex makes it a bit more appealing.

    • I usually buy a Country Road gift card for the full amount. Then spend occasionally when there's a sale on (Or Country Road outlet)!

      • That's a good idea. I forgot about that option.

    I also got 20% off Qantas.com

    • lucky!

      • It's not all that…

        Qantas Online
Spend 3 times & receive up to 20% off
Register by saving the offer to Card by 13/11/15 & spend 3 times on flights, online at qantas.com by 13/12/15 to receive 20% of the total cost as a credit up to max of $200. Limited to first 8,000 Cards to register.

        • Do you have a link to this offer? I can't find it anywhere.

        • +1

          @SydneySwan:

Sorry I don't know how you get the direct links? It only came up through the americanexpress.com site, not AmexConnect… so I don't think I can help.

        • so you are going to stock up Qantas vouchers?

        • @gotcha:

Shame you can't use the vouchers to purchase anything else, e.g. Epiqure, Qantas Cash, etc. Otherwise, man, it'd be on for young and old.

        • @zzyss: another trip next year maybe? lol

        • @gotcha:

I wish. Wouldn't be flying QF (or OneWorld) anyway. All my credit card points convert to Singapore Airlines / Star Alliance :-)

        • @SydneySwan: I received the offer on one of my cards today together with a spend 250, get 50 back offer!

  • Does anyone have the direct links?

  • Is it worth signing up for Presto? Does it have good shows or movie compared to Netflix?

    • +1

You can do the free one month trial and still take advantage of this deal if you like the service so you really have nothing to lose. I'm not sure if it's improved but the picture quality was quite a bit below Netflix and Stan.

    • +1

      Presto is now in HD.

    • +1

They have different contents, but their Ui is not as good as netflix.

  • I was going to ditch presto once my 6 month trial expired, but I guess if I can have 100% off for 3 months…

  • Registered 2 cards for Presto - 4 more months free

    • Can you pre-pay your account in advance? Otherwise how?

EDIT: nevermind. I guess if you're already a subscriber you can squeeze in 4 payments between now and offer end date.

  • I think my Presto 6 months free runs out early November so this will give me another 2 months. When I first signed up for the free 6 months I downloaded the Presto android app and it said my phone was not supported, even though the app store said it was compatible, so I didn't use the subscription. A couple of months later I downloaded an updated version of the Presto app and it has been working fine with Chromecast. Thought I would mention for those who have had problems with the app, might be worth downloading again as from my experience it has improved a lot.

  • I have Spend $150 or more by 10/11/2015, get $50 back
as well as Witchery Spend $110 or more by 08/11/15, get $30 back.

my Amex issued card gives me 150/50 whereas my CBA issued Amex shows 100/25.

    • i managed to login my AMEX issued card and see the offer, how did you access bank issued AMEX? Is there a direct link?

  • seems Amex connect site is getting hammered badly today.

    • Kinda ironic they have "connect" in their name

  • I registered for the country road offer but when I logged into my account today it was gone. I called amex and they said it is no longer available. I was sure I saw it in my list of registered offers.

  • They are a bit sneaky I think, I had the 50 off 150 on my card and my husband had the 25 off 100 on his westpac card. Maybe they realised we are together and didn't want us to get it twice. Only the 25 off 100 is left on the westpac.

  • noticed it in T&C:
Gift card purchases and phone transactions are excluded.

    • They always say that, but i've never not received the credit.
